Had a lovely week's stay with my friend and our two 6 year olds who spent most of the time in the lovely pool. Food and drink in the hotel was over-priced so we ate mostly in Riva which is a short stroll away along the lake - but the quality was very good in the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful but the terrace where it was served was rather oppressive and always packed. Fruit could have been riper too. Kids club was a bit limited - the children mainly seemed to be colouring in and making things which didn't appeal to my little boy so we gave it a miss. My only real criticism was that the chambermaids noisily cleaned rooms quite early making it difficult for a lie in. All in all though I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel for it's fantastic location and beautifully landscaped gardens and facilities.
"Basic, but suitable hotel as base for exploration"
Our hotel room was quite basic, a bit dated in terms of decor, but suited our needs as somewhere to crash at end of day. Our room and bathroom were very clean. Everything worked in the room. So all in all it served our needs.

Free parking (and for residents only) at front and rear of hotel.
We had an apartment which meant we could self cater if needed, but as breakfasts were included, and was very good, it set us up for the day so we ate out in evenings in a restaurant right on the edge of the lake, which had a varied menu and was good value for money (5 minute walk from the hotel).
I was a bit wary of whether the hotel/apartment would be clean, but not a problem...spectacularly clean.
Very friendly. Bar was a bit small, but adequate seating outside on warm evenings.
All in all, fantastic value for money.
Bardolino has a marina and is lovely for café/shopping/sitting (Thursdays is market day, and the street market is huge..goes for about a mile along the side of the lake).
Sirmione is old and quaint, (lots of carparks, and when you park, walk in the direction of the stone castle because the 'entrance' to the old part is through the side of the castle).
Limone sul Garda was lovely too, but when parked you have to look for the orange painted pavement which leads you down to a 'beachy' area and another good market.

This really is a top hotel. Very clean and modern, but what stands out are the gardens. Beautiful flowers and palm trees leading to the enormous pool. The staff were helpful and the food good. What more can you ask!

Popular Riva del Garda is the largest of the lake resorts with a picturesque mountain backdrop and grand waterfront. It is a prosperous town with a life aside from tourism. The main monument is its moated castle, home to a museum and gallery. Adjacent is Torbole, an intimate little port famous for its excellent windsurfing conditions, which attracts a young sporty crowd. The spectacular waterfalls and caves park of Varone is very close by.
