“Hail Caesar !”

We spent 5 nights in the Caesar Park from 12th to 16th November. It's a lovely hotel in a great location, and probably the best along the Ipanema/Leblon seafront. It's more of a business hotel, but definitely delivers on 5 star service to a greater extent than we experienced anywhere else in Brazil. We did have some minor issues with the cleanliness of the room, but these were addressed as soon as they were brought to the attention of front desk. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate but is worth paying for.

“Its more like a 3 star hotel by any standard”

We arrived to this hotel thinking it will be a luxury place, however its more like a 3 star. No tea/coffee in room - only VERY expensive room service. Bath tub is tiny, probably aimed at little kids only. Water in room costs around 7GBP per 330ml bottle. When plugged in laptop and then tried to pull out the lead, the entire plug came out (from all sockets). So the price was extremely high for what it was.

“Hotel good but expensive”

This hotel is in an excellent location right on the beach in Ipanem. Whilst the hotel is very good it is very expensive for what you get. It is priced as a 4 or 5 star hotel however I would say it is 3. I also got the feeling that the staff treat all people as though they are on business so as someone on holiday it was at times too formal. You will pay for everything and they wanted a very large desposit from us on check-in. There are other hotels only a short walk from the beach which looked more welcoming and priced alot better.

“Just BAD!”

Bad service, horribly maintained building and rooms. Not a very nice atmosphere. It just feels old and as if they were just trying to make money from not investing on it. Would NOT recommend this hotel.
