“A reasonable hotel near Copacobana beach”
The hotel is clean. The rooms a reasonable size. Breakfast is included (They need to change the very "tired" menu ", but koacl fruits (like pineapple, mango and papaya are good). However the cooked part of spiced sausage, scrambled egg, etc is not very good, and the pancakes and cakes were terrible... There is a store opposite which I found useful. And it is quite near to the beach ( which I could see from my balcony. Tours can be organised ( but there are not many) from the hotel, and the staff are helpful, and reception speak english.
“Good hotel for the price”
Good hotel and great location
“Great location”
The best feature of this hotel is the location, a few blocks away from Copacabana Beach, and close to very nice bars, always packed with locals, what is a great sight. The breakfast is also very good, with a reasonable variety of fruits, bread, hot and cold food, cereals and juices. The cleaning could be a bit better. Our room had not been dusted before we arrived and still not done until our last day. Our room was bright and spacious and the bed was really confortable. I would recomend the hotel and might go back next time I go to Rio.
“Unwelcoming in Rio”
Close to grocery, laundry, subway, beach. 1 key per room, if you get locked out you will probably have to stay in the lobby, No guests, no guests anywhere, sometimes not even in the lobby. The front desk was beyond rude, no they don't really speak English/Spanish either. Always speak to a manager. Ther is no voice mail, they will not tell you if you you had a call to the room. Ther is no WIFI anywhere in Rio that is free, other than finding it on the street. The room was clean. Beds are very hard, no real bedding but a sheet and 2 old nappy blankets. The 12th floor had a great view, but the balcony doors let in all the street noise. The room was hot since when you leave the key disables to a/c, again 1 key.The buffet was good. The pool was clean at 10am by midday loaded w/ sunscreen, there is a bar but noone tends it!
“Good value in pretty good location”
I liked this hotel and found it clean and pretty good value for its location. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you need to do your laundry there is a cheap laundrette next door and a cheap internet shop just down the street. Overall, good value for its location.
“Not fancy but fine”
This hotel is well located, right between Copacabana and Ipanema and near the last metro stop. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is quite serviceable. I found the staff helpful.
“Excellent budget choice”
I was impressed with the quality of this hotel. The staff is very courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. The location, 3 blocks from the beach, was interesting: a very "local" street with locals shopping in supermarkets, drugstores, bookstores, eating in local restaurants, it had a great feel to it. And there were people on the street at all times so I felt safe walking back at night. I had a smoking room, though I am a nonsmoker, and it did not smell at all--a compliment to the cleaners.
“Gerne wieder”
Günstiges hotel in bester copacabana Lage, sauber, freundlich
