“Nice Hotel great location”
Very nice helpfuff staff. Good parking. Nice room little small for a superior room but comfortable. Good location nice walk into the heart and quiet.
“Radisson in Riga”
Good business hotel, plenty space for meetings in the lobby bar. A bit boring on the food side but overall very good.
“Great hotel with a great location”
We loved the hotel and the location. We did experience a problem with our room being above the casino/night club. The music went on and on untill after 3am so we could not sleep for 2 nights. The hotel were very helpful in moving us to another room which was very quiet. Please mention if the room is quiet when checking in!
“New Year Celebration”
The lights were bright, the dresses beautiful, watching the fireworks from the ninth floor a silent delight, and breakfast the next morning a theater of russian, latvian, italian, danish, swedish cultures clashing sleepily.
“Great hotel in Riga Old Town”
The Radisson Blu in Riga was perfect. We were there for a few days over NYE. We found the hotel easily (despite there being 4 diff Radisson's in Riga!!) and it was a very nice hotel. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing. It was very close to the Old Town so we could walk everywhere and then walk back to warm ourselves up in the middle of the day. Unfortunately the Sky Bar was closed for an event but would def be worth a visit on any other day - it is on the 26th Floor of the hotel and boasts a view over the city. Did not try the fitness facilities or spa so not sure if that was an extra charge or not. Would def recommend.
“Our Favorite Hotel in Riga”
This was our 8th stay. As the standard room we had booked was too small to receive 2 visitors, we moved into a large, Business Class room. Very comfortable but when the weather turned sunny, this room, with southern exposure, became too warm for sleeping. We then moved into a very comfortable Superior Room in the new North Wing, where the air conditioning was still working in late September. Extremely courteous and attentive staff. Excellent breakfasts.
“Fantastic hotel!”
Brilliant hotel. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. We will stay there again.
“Good but not great”
I regularly stay at the Reval Hotel in Lithuania and Estonia and enjoy the experience so when I needed to go to Riga I naturally went to the same chain. I'm a regualr gym user so seeing the Reval Latvia also had a gym, it confirmed that I should book there. Upon arrival I was given a room, it was clean & comfortable but quite basic (nothing like it sister hotes mentioned previously) I then went to use the gym only to find out that I had to pay an extra 10 Lats (although it was nice once you were in) My final gripe was dinner in the restaurant, I informed the Maitre Dee that I would like to eat from the A la carte menu rather than the one price buffet, I was shown to a table and sat and waited...and waited and waited, in the end I was so hungary that I just got the waitresses attention and told her I would eat from the buffet as at least I could eat straight away without ordering first, I was a bit narked as this is not what I wanted. All in all my stay was by no means unpleasant but not the level I get in other Reval Hotels.
“A baby's perfect New Year Celebration”
We were with our baby and check-in lasted less than 3 minutes and we were on our way. And on our way was the 22nd floor which we had requested so that we might be able to view the fireworks across the horizon while our baby slept without being disturbed by the explosions. After setting down our things, we went back to the Lobby Bar where we ordered some foods and watched all the beautiful people getting ready to go dancing. Baby was taken back upstairs around 10:30 and Mom came back down for a bite. We enjoyed some time alone while baby was upstairs and when we returned, though baby was awake, no real crisis. And then as New Year was rung in, the sky was full of lights, and our baby slept. It worked perfectly. Happy New Year!
“Very nice hotel”
The hotel is not 'central' but very close to all the sites of the city and away from the noise of the centre. Riga is quite small and walking around is far more pleasant than any other means of transportation. The hotel has a nice bar on the top floor overlooking the city which is a fantastic way to end your night. It has a number of other facilities but can't comment since I haven't really used them. What they do need to improve is check-in time, especially on Fridays! With only two people on reception you can wait for quite some time until you get your room card. Definitely worth to stay there when in Riga!
