Gutes, gut gelegenes Hotel mitten in der Altstadt

Posted 12-Oct-2014

Spacious room with best views of the main churches

Comfy, friendly hotel. Nice large rooms. Hotel restaurant has great food and recommended on many restaurant review sites. Right in Old Town and close to many of the top tourist sites, but cobbled streets through most of the Old Town keep it quiet at night.

Classy and Convenient

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: Loved the decor, the cleanliness, hotel amenities, the wonderful breakfast, accommodating staff.
Cons: Parking is difficult near the hotel and so is driving in. Recommend renting a vehicle AFTER you leave Old Town, Riga.
Nieburgs is right in the heart of Riga's Old City. Near the craft market, restaurants, town square...perfect location. It's an oasis in the middle of the busy city.

Pros:
Cons:

Séjour agréable et reposant

Posted 11-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com

Great location, friendly staff, trendy modern room

One tip: it's better to NOT have to deal with parking a car in Riga. Take public transportation to the old city, see it....THEN rent a car.

Good location...with super thin walls

Posted 02-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
This was a nice hotel. My wife and I stayed a weekend here. We are certainly social people, but the club music pounding through the walls in the middle of the night got old. Waking up to "Shot Shot Shot Shot Shot" at 5 in the morning, when we had a flight home later that day, was not cool. Also, the breakfast buffet was not as nice as I expected it would be for this quality of hotel. The gym is absolutely pathetic - only one Nautilus machine and one treadmill (which sucks). So, if you plan on staying fit during your trip, hope for nice weather and go for a run along the river. Also, the sauna was closed for repairs during our stay....would have been nice to use it. The one thing that cancels all of this out, though, is that Riga is an amazing city with a great culture!
