ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT HOTEL

Posted 07-Apr-2014
Pros: The location, the service, the accommodation.
Location: In the heart of the old town - perfect. Lots of landmark sights to see in the old town itself, and lots of great places to eat.
This hotel ticked a lot of boxes for our city break stay in Riga. The location in the old town is great, and our room had a great view over the cathedral. The room was excellent, clean and comfortable, and the staff could not have been more helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent hotel,friendly staff

Posted 16-Mar-2014
Location: The location was just right for us in a quiet little street only a stones throw from Dome Square
From the minute we arrived at the hotel until we left for the airport on our last day the staff were very warm, friendly and extremely helpful. We had a wonderful room that was very quiet which is always a bonus. The Hotel restaurant was really nice and the food was top notch. The breakfast buffet had a plenty to choose from. We plan to visit Riga several times in the future and will most definitely be staying at the Neiburgs

Hotel Neibergs - a great hotel.

Posted 20-Dec-2013
Loved the room (deluxe double at corner of 4th floor), staff, breakfasts, spa and location. I would have given this hotel across-the-board 5s except for one minor drawback. The local bars are open all night. So when people go outside to smoke and talk loudly the narrow streets amplify the sounds. So unless you wear earplugs - like we did, you may have trouble sleeping.

Welcoming comfortable hotel in a great location

Posted 25-Oct-2013
Pros: Really well run hotel . Everything just happens as it should without you noticing it.
The hotel has wonderful art nouveau architecture but completely refurbished with modern facilities. It is just off the main square in the old town but really quiet as hardly any traffic goes down the small road outside. Staff were friendly and helpful and I was very haPpy with my choice guided by other reviewers.

Beautiful hotel - noisy location

Posted 20-Oct-2013
This is a beautiful hotel that has been renovated to perfection. I was delighted when I first arrived - the room was spacious, had everything I needed. Unfortunately the noise that comes from the drunks in the street and the constant drum and bass sounds from the local bars just go on all night until the very early hours meant that I had some of the worst sleepless nights of my life. The hotel did offer me a room at the rear, but the suites are all at the front and the alternative rooms at the rear were not nearly as nice. I'm not sure what the hotel can do about it - complain to the local authorities about noise pollution [there must be a European law on this] or install triple glazing? Its a real shame. We stayed three nights and then got a hotel in the Art Nouveau district - not such a nice hotel but I slept well and it was just a £4 taxi ride to the old town. One final thing, while the list of items available for breakfast was extensive, it was generally all cold and not such good quality.

Good well equipped hotel just behind Domus Cathedral. Room looks like studio with small kitchen and dining corner. Staff is very prompt and always ready to help. Very nice restaurant with good cuisine.

The hotel was outstanding! Location great!

Posted 04-Jul-2013
Pros: Loved the location and design and breakfast!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Visit the Old town and stroll the cobblestone streets. Riga Dome Cathedral right next store!
The taxi was able to bring us right to the hotel over the cobblestones of old Riga! The staff was able to get us a larger bed and the room design was stunning! Great view from our window and close to everything! Outstanding service and breakfast was the best on our entire trip!! I will recommend this hotel to anyone who visits the beautiful city of Riga!
