“Top Hotel”
A first class hotel just outside the hustle of the Old Town les than 5 min walk to the train/bus station and only 10 min to the Old Town .
“baltic states”
this is a nice hotel in a decent neighborhood, very close to the train station and the old city. the hotel is clean and small, but comfort. a neearby church is rather shabby, but closes most of the time. tv is small, but you do not watch tv much. while internet connection is just fine.
“Good hotel”
The hotel is new and rooms are all right, not too big but with everything you may need. People working at the hotel are extremely polited and helpful. The quarter is not bad, but to get to the center of Riga you have to cross the Central Market. The other point is that there were some "tours" lodging at the hotel, this means large groups of people in a not so big hotel, so it was difficult for breakfast or dinner at the hotel, or even to call a taxi while two or three big busses were parked on the acces to the hotel.
“Very good hotel. 10 minutes walk from Old Town. Nice spacious rooms. Breakfast OK.”
As above
“A great value hotel with friendly, helpful staff.”
This is a great, value for money, three star hotel situated about a fifteen minute walk from the Old Town. I stayed here for 3 nights in February and couldn’t really fault it for the price. I arrived by plane and took the airport bus [number 22] into town for 70 santims [LVL0.70]. To get to the hotel you can either get off at the Stockmann department store and walk through the market or the next stop just under the railway bridge on Gogola street. The hotel is a five minute walk from either stop. The neighbourhood is a little down at heel and there isn’t much going on in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. However, the area felt safe, even at night, and I found a great little bar just around the corner on Gogola called “Banuzis”. They had a ‘happy hour’ each day from 17.00-19.00hrs when half a litre of lager costs just 50 santims [LVL0.50]. The regular price was only 80 santims [LVL0.80] which still seemed cheap when compared to most other bars in Riga's Old Town where prices were double that or more. Finally, I’d like to complement the hotel on its customer service. The girls on reception were friendly and helpful and, when my flight home was cancelled due to the snow, as a goodwill gesture they knocked 25% off the room rate for the extra night.
“Very satisfied.”

“Value in Riga”
I have absolutely no complaints about the hotel per se, in fact I would go as far to say the service at reception was outstanding, especially when it came to City and transport information: I visited Jurmala and Sigulda using timetables provided by the desk. I thought this to be exceptional service as the hotel were advertising their own trips to Sigulda. The room was very spacious, especially for a single room with a spotlessly clean bathroom and superb air conditioning, a necessity in the temperatures Riga has recently experienced. Breakfast was an excellent choice of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit and breads. The only downside to staying in the hotel is it's location; it takes a good 12 minute walk at a brisk pace to walk into the old town (add at least another 5 minutes to walk in the centre of the old town), although admittedly this is on the flat. You can, however, avoid this walk by taking the tram; the stop is a four minute walk from the hotel. A taxi costs 2.4 lats for the journey into the old city. That aside I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as it does represent good value.
“Basic but good”
This hotel is not in immediate vicinity of the old town but close enough to walk back and forth. It is near the huge farmer's market. The Academy Science and Physics building is very close and has an observation balcony for 2 Lats. It provides a fantastic view. The breakfast was good and there was a patio restaurant also. I liked the new and modern decorations and the bathroom was roomy. It has no other amenities but Internet was available in lobby and receptionists were helpful.
“Definitely worth considering - value for money!”
Comfortable hotel at a good price. Staff friendly. Room fresh, clean and plenty of space. Free wi-fi internet access usefull. Free breakfast tasty and adequate choices. Location a bit seedy but that was never actually a problem - just added some local "colour".
“Excellent Value”
I would definately stay there again on my next visit to Riga.
