“Beliggenhed:superb - lige ved Domkirken og mange seværdigheder”

Gutenberg hotel er beliggende i en smuk, gammel bygning, der oser af charme. Receptionen fungerer optimalt, de ansatte er søde, hjælpsomme og smilende. Eneste minus var værelsets størrelse, hvis man som vi, kommer med 2 kufferter. Morgenmadsbuffeten var upåklagelig, middagen om aftenen for så vidt OK men lidt trist, da vi var eneste spisende (det var en torsdag) og tjeneren åbenbart var ny eller vikar.

Area recommendations
Hele området rundt Domkirken og en radius på 1-2 km er værd at se, ellers følg Politikens "Turen går til", som anbefaler alle de smukke steder, de flot dekorerede huse og de mange museer, som er gode at have i baghånden, hvis der skulle falde regn. Riga er en blanding af gammelt og nyt, så der er noget for enhver smag. Skægge, små alterantive cafeer med suppe og sandwiches, flotte, nye restauranter med natklubber i sort/hvidt. Endvidere har Riga flere sjove pubber, så mænd med hang til fodbold ikke kommer til at misse en kvalificeringskamp....

Vores tur var primo oktober, men vi var heldige. Solen varmede og der var kun få byger.
Getting around
Gå, gå gå - og tag evt. en "rød bus" (jump on and off) for at få det store overblik.

“Super Hotel mitten in Riga”

Alles TOP! Kann nichts beklagen. Von Zimmer über Service bis Frühstück und Dachterrasse. Und wenn man Auto hat, einfach hinstellen und man bringt es bis zum Hoteleingang. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

“good hotel”

Gutenbergs hotel is supposed to be one of the best in town. while location and service level are outstanding, the structure starts to show a little bit of age.... in particular in our room the shower was functioning but it had been repaired with some tape, and the terminal would fall very easily. the rooms are very particular (the building is an historical middle age house) which means they can have some beautiful and "funny" features, i.e. in our room the floor was significantly leaning, and the roof was quite low. breakfast is just excellent and the hotel has a beautiful terrace. i really advice this hotel if you want to be in the heart of the city and want to live in a historical building, otherwise the hotel is less suitable for who is looking for a more modern location.

“Excellente situation et personnel très professionnel”

La situation geographique de l'hotel est excellente, les chambres sont raffinées, le personnel très à l'écoute des clients, le petit déjeuner très copieux et varié.

“Das Gutenbergs Hotel in Riga liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten”

Das Hotel selber liegt in ruhiger Lage unmittelbar hinter den Dom. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Altstadt sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und bemüht. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und haben ein stilvolles Ambiente. Einzig das Frühstück ist eine Katastrophe, nur den Kaffee kann man trinken. Bei dem Zimmerpreis ist das aber zu verschmerzen und man kann bei den umliegenden Kaffees für kleines Geld glücklich werden. Unser Gesamturteil daher empfehlenswert.
