“This is a great hotel”

This is a great hotel. The location cannot be beat -- easy walking distance to everything within the old town. The service is outstanding; the staff was particularly helpful in arranging a driver/guide for a trip into the countryside. The rooms are clean and so very quiet. The food -- the buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel dining room -- is well above average. Also, it was easy for us to stay connected by computers outside the lobby and also in our room. This is where we will stay next time we are in Riga.

Attend an organ concert at the Riga Cathedral, less than a five minute walk from the hotel.

“Grand Palace Hotel Riga a pochi minuti dal centro storico”

Hotel con ottimo servizio di pulizia in camera (due volte al giorno) Personale disponibile e molto cortese Piacevole la sosta serale al bar per un the o per il classico Riga Balsam. Colazione abbondante che soddisfa appieno ogni gusto, sia dolce che salata (tra le varie scelte : pesce ottimo e pasticceria deliziosa) Ottima posizione nella Old Riga da dove a piedi si raggiungono tutte le zone turistiche di maggiore interesse. Consigliato assolutamente.

Ottimo servizio. Manutenzione ottima. Internet gratis in camera. Buona e varia la colazione. Posizione invidiabile nel centro della città vecchia. Puzza di fumo al bar!

“Perfect stay (with some hiccups)”

All in all an excellent hotel. Nice and very clean rooms. Great location. I'd stay there again but be warned: we reserved a deluxe and they put us in a standard room. only after asking 2x did they move us. d/t problems with another guest's room, we were inconvenienced and had to let hotel management through our room - all our bags had to be moved, etc. we were not comped for this. these were small issues (with the exception of prepaying the deluxe and getting the standard) but a real 5 star hotel would comp guests for such things.
