“Great Location”

I think this hotel must have the best location in Riga as we had a great view of the Freedom Monument from our window and could easily walk into the old town or to the Opera House and its lovely surrounding park. The staff were friendly and very efficient, though the general atmosphere may have been a bit quiet for younger guests. I would certainly stay there again, but my young daughter might prefer somewhere busier and brasher.

“Luxury Hotel”

Located in central part of city, easily accessed by taxi from airport. The hotel was first class and is described locally as luxury..Breakfasts are plentiful and of good standard but hot food tends to be cool rather than hot. Attention is first class and english is spoken well by staff. Hotel provides an excellent position close to most places of interest.

“Hotel De Rome”

This is a five star hotel in a very central position in Riga. The service and accomadation were first rate as you would expect.

“Superb location in an amazing city!”

Hotel de Rome is right at the end of the main drag in Riga Old Town, so it's convenient for sightseeing, dining and nightlife, as well as the train station for any daytrips. The hotel is not brilliantly sound-proofed though, so take some earplugs if you're a light sleeper! If you can, be sure to sample the local tipples!! OK, Riga Black Balsam is an acquired taste to say the least, but Riga "Champagne" is delightful as is the beverage they call Cider, which we know as Perry!! I must say that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Latvia and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a holiday destination!!

“Hotel de Rome. Wonderful place to stay in Old Riga.”

If you are staying in Old Riga, consider Hotel de Rome. Fabulous location. Beautiful hotel. Be certain to book with breakfast included for you will find this to be a true highlight of your stay. Delectable array. Lovely staff.

“Can't wait to go back”

The Hotel was recommended by a relative that stayed at this hotel. It is centrally located, all you site seeing monuments, churches etc, are in walking distance. Also the surrounding areas are very clean, not a single paper to be seeing on the streets.The hotel staff very professional, always ready to be of service, all and all very satisfied with our choice.

The hotel was clean and friendly and the breakfast choice was both beatifully cooked and there was great choice. We had a problem with our initial room on the 6th floor under the restaurent which was very noisy but the hotel immediately upgraded us when we went to see them to a suite on a lower level at no extra cost which was fantastic service and very welcome.The location of the hotel is excellent and you are in walking distance of most the visitor attractions which meant that you felt safe going out at night due to its proximity.

This hotel is set right in the middle of old and new. The Old Town with it's excellent bars and restaurants and New Riga's jump into the Millenium. Plenty to see and do 5 minutes from it's doorstep, the hotel was reasonably priced and plush, the staff helpful and hospitable, just like the rest of the City.

“Great place to stay - easy access to sights”

Hotel de Rome was very, very comfortable. Went on business - my customer had never been there before but said he would definately use it for meetings, great coffee area/bar. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Fantastic food in the restaurant - bit strange as I was the only one eating and had the pianist all to myself but the staff made me feel really special. Housekeeping was immaculate - I travel all over the world and this was probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Right by the old town, some fantastic architecture. Take warm clothes if going between October - March.

Location!Service!Cleanliness! Weather was terrific - but unusual for Baltic - Heat of more than 32 degree. No airconditioning in the rooms.
