“Value for money”

“Good value for money.”

Location is not central but taxi to the center is not very expensive Parking is near to the hotel and free for hotel's guests.

“value for money”

It is just what we say "value for money". New, clean,good location, friendly staff. The rooms were a little bit small, but from the reviews I was expecting them even smaller. I would suggest it to a friend and if I would go at Latvia again, it will definitely be one of my options.

“good hotel”

just came back from Riga. Albert Hotel is a very good hotel regarding location(only 15 minutes walk to old town) and breakfast(good choice inc english breakfast). I would recommend to upgrade your room because the standard room is very small and there is no wardrobe.

Double Coffee chain is very good, nice menu in english and the dishes are tasty and well presented. Just tern left from your hotel and you will find one.

“Nice hotel to stay”

Hotel is nicely located, service is friendly, view from terrace bar on 11 floor over the city is the best.

Traveller's tip
Ask the room on the reverse side of the building, street view rooms might be noisy in early morning.

LATVIA IS GETTING TOO EXPENSIVE WITH THE INCREASE OF VAT FROM 18% TO 23% AND OTHER LATVIAN GOVERNMENT POLICIES .BY CUTTING PUBLIC SECTOR INCOME AND PENSIONS IS MAKING TO LIVE IN LATVIA INTOLERABLE ALONG WITH THE HIGH COST OF HOUSING IS MAKING CETRES LIKE RIGA MORE PRONE TO INCIDENCIES OF CRIME BECAUSE THEY MAKING THE LIVES OF ORDINARY PEOPLE MORE DIFFICULT

“Albert Hotel - a great place to sleep in”

I've had the pleasure of visiting the Albert hotel in July 2009. The room was perfect - everything you'd want in a three star hotel. Excellent beds. For me personally, the most important thing was Wireless internet (WiFi), which usually costs extra. The complimentary breakfast was a bit lacking in variety, but all in all it was a wonderful stay.

Traveller's tip
For those of us who are on a strict budget, there's a small Turkish take away place on the same street as the Albert Hotel. Great Middle Eastern food for a couple of Lats.

“Alber Hotel in Riga”

Its an excelent hotel, well situated for the city centre and places to eat. Friendly staff who are also very helpful and cheerful. Great clubs nearby and bars where you can meet locals too.

Traveller's tip
Great restaurants nearby including Vincent's restaurant. Which is probably the best place in Riga.

“Would definitely recommend”

Had a really enjoyable stay. The hotel was in a good location, about a 15 minute walk from the old town. Within minutes of the hotel is Antonijas iela a street with a variety of bars and restaurants with a more local neighbourhood feel. The hotel has everything you need for a short stay and is good value for money with breakfast served till 11am and checkout at a civilized 12pm. The two for one cocktails from 4-8pm in the 11th floor hotel bar which has an outdoor terrace were a bonus!

Traveller's tip
Take one of the old trains from the station in Riga out to Jurmala on the coast. Get off at a town called Majori and walk along the beautiful beach. It's like a Baltic version of the Hamptons!

“Repeat Visit”

We stayed in this great hotel last year. Our only quibble was that the air conditioning was not working this time. Luckily we could manage without.
