“More a 2 star hotel”
Great location, but tiny rooms, standard of a 2 star hotel.
“Not up to par”
Had trouble checking in, at 5pm when arriving at the hotel after driving 3 1/2 hours I was told that they had our reservations, but something was wrong with their system and had to wait atleast 45 minutes til we even got a key. They put us on the 5th floor, but their elevators only go up to the 3rd floor, they didn't help us with our luggage so we had to lug them up the 2 extra flights of stairs that it took to get to the 5th floor. Rooms were small, and bed was very uncomfortable. Not worth the money wish we would of known this before booking.

Just what I needed in order to pursue my research at The National Archives. A short cab drive away - with good cab service and attentive desk personnel.
“Richmond Upon Thames”
At check in the staff were friendly and polite however we were given a room that had not been cleaned. We were swiftly upgraded to a nicer (clean) room but it was a bit disappointing after a long journey! The Hotels restaurant was supurb for both dinner and breakfast.
“Nothing Rich about Richmond Hill”
A 4 star hotel this is not. The room was not the type of room that was paid for and was the smallest and most "Spartanly" appointed accomodation I've ever experienced (booked a king, got 2 twins). I would never stay at this hotel again...even at half the rate.

While the room was clean and well presented there were a number of issues I would not have expected in a four star hotel: Permanently leaking shower No light bulb in bedside lamp No luggage rack Kettle positioned inside a cupboard such that it had to be brought out to a bedside table to be plugged in Very awkwardly placed loo roll holder due to confined size of bathroom
“Excellent site to get to Twicenham and a great hotel”
Good service and close to the venue of the sporting fixture we were to go to. Good excercise facilities and great transport links to the rest of london.

“Good hotel well placed to make the most of Richmond”
This is an old building but the rooms have been refurbished to a godd standard. Its sister hotel, the Richmond Gate has a health spa with better than hotel average laned pool and better than hotel average gymn with mix of running, rowing and other machines in good numbers. You can easily walk into Richmond but as the name suggests the hotel is at the top of a hill so bear this in mind for the return. Shouldn't be an issue if you are reasonably healthy. Beautiful views across London from the nearby Park.
