I stayed in the Coach House, it was lovely, quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was nice but the changing rooms are dated, I didn't mind this at all but if you are expecting fancy changing rooms you may be in for a bit of a surprise.
The dining rooms are nice and the country feel is lovely.
Rooms were good, very clean and well ventilated. Restaurant served the best meal I have ever had. All of our party commentated on how nice it was and how very reasonably priced. I would go back for the restaurant alone. All the staff were local, eager to please and good to talk to. I noticed a great deal of customers were eating off the specials menu in the bar area. It was full, so that menu must also be good, but what a treat they were missing in the main restaurant. One of our party commented that the meal she had was better than the one she had in a top Chef's London restaurant recently that was very expensive. Nice to have value for money. Keep it up Willow House we will be back..
I really appreciated how helpful our hosts were when I discovered Id booked on line for the wrong night. They were very kind in letting us change the booking. The room was comfortable and tastefully furnished and well equipped. Breakfast was great - well cooked and veggie sausages were good ones too. Great home made jams too which you can buy to take away as a homecoming gift. The hosts were extremely friendly and this seemed to rub off on everyone staying there. Recommended for anyone wanting a friendly, traditional English B&B.
I should add that the B&B aims to be dog friendly. The owners have three and guests can bring well behaved ones. If you are not a dog lover this isnt a problem (Im not particularly) as the dogs were mostly out of sight, but if anyone were allergic to dogs or phobic of them they ought to know in advance.
The staff were really friendly and could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
We enjoyed a well cooked, good quality meal in the restaurant.
there was a decent wine list at reasonable prices and good beers available.
A lovely, welcoming and homely atmosphere completed an enjoyable stay .
Thank you The Swan.
We will be returning.
This is a lovely hotel but is in need of some refurbishment, The staff are fantastic , very courteous and pleasant to deal with. After a minor hiccup with the heating in my room things went well. I had a room in the courtyard and the facilities are ok but the walls are very thin, the consequence being you hear just about everything that happens and is said in the rooms either side. That aside the surroundings, gardens, history and tranquility of the place make up for its shortcomings. I had a great evening meal and good breakfast the following morning. I will stop there again in the future.
I stayed at Aldercarr Hall for a few nights while racing at Snetterton, and cannot praise it highly enough.
The rooms are spacious, beautifully clean and well equipped, and very comfortable.
Breakfast is beautifully cooked, of fine local produce. There are extensive spa and pool facilities that I didn't personally use, but the other guests I spoke to were as delighted with their stay as I was.
Above all, the owner, Danny, and his wife went far out of their way to be the perfect hosts; nothing was too much trouble. Their kindness meant a very comfortable stay was a memorable one.
We arrived late due to problems on the motorway (10 pm), on arrival asked if any chance for some food, and told kitchen was closed however she said she would ask, a wonderful cold platter was supplied which was ideal.
Breakfast next morning was cooked fresh and was one of the best I have had.
I have recently started travelling to Norwich for business, I have now been to Norwich twice and only ever stay at this hotel the night before. The hotel has a fantastic warm and welcoming feel. The bar / restraunt has great character, and the food and beer are equaly as pleasing. I will continue to stay at this hotel anytime I am in the region and would certainly recomend to fellow business travellers as freinds. A real gem of a hotel. Thinking of Premier Inn or Travelodge, don't bother stay here and get the quality and individual service you should always recieve.
