I loved the property and the location. Located easy access and walking distance to a lot of cool places in Richmond. The hotel was very clean and I felt super safe. The staff is excellent! The beds are comfy and the hotel was quiet. A couple of things that I believe should be changed. For the price of the hotel, parking should be free or at least validated. Number two is coffee and breakfast should be included. Not just one free coupon. Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

I did not like that I booked to stay for 2 nights 15-17, I arrived on the 16th around 10am and they said my room wasn’t ready! So they still charged me for 2 nights and they gave my room(queen deluxe) to someone else! And they put me on a 2 bed room, they said they couldn’t do anything about it! Was a terrible experience! Had never happened to me before at any other hotels.

We had an excellent experience with Omni. It was a beautiful room and hotel, for a reasonable rate for the experience. Pool was super fun and open later. We got great food for the onsite restaurant without the markup you usually associate with room service. Everyone who worked there was polite, professional, and helpful.

It was a beautiful hotel and all the staff I came in contact with were very kind and helpful. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to tip electronically. If there is, I did not see it. I just don’t make a habit of caring a bunch of cash around with me these days. The only other thing is that the bathroom in my room was definitely having some issues with paint peeling on the ceiling and such. I know that these things happen, but it’s a very nice hotel and I would’ve expected this would have been repaired before having someone stay in the room.

This was a beautiful property in main areas, however our room could have used some deep cleaning. Out shower curtain was stained in a spot on outside, the carpet was gross- I’m guessing coffee stains or something and definitely not want shampooed in awhile. The biggest issue was the heating unit- it kicked out so much dust that our phones were covered in it as well as end tables etc. in the sun it looked like it was snowing as the hvac unit ran. I’m guessing maybe filters or ducts need to be cleaned. I’m not one to complain, but it definitely was a bit disappointing for the cost.

We arrived at our room and there was a maintenance cart in front of our door. We had to move the cart and tried our key to get in and it did not work. We heard voices in the room and knocked on the door. A Hispanic man opened the door and informed us that he was fixing the toilet and we could enter. There was also a woman in the room. She did not say anything. Looked around and left. I felt very uncomfortable being in my room afterward.

Great stay in the heart of Richmond
The Omni Richmond was a great choice for our short stay in Richmond. Great location, within short walking distance to the Canal Walk and many dining options in Shockoe Bottom. We also enjoyed walking to the Virginia State Capitol, just a couple of blocks away. The rooms are updated, stylish, and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Parking on site was very easy and convenient. Dining options inside the property include Starbucks, The Pit and the Peel, and Chick-Fil-A, in addition to the Omni restaurant (we did not patronize the restaurant). Our room on the 15th floor had a view of the James River and was very quiet. We would recommend this property.

No parking on site apart from a Valet option that costs $38. Actually there is parking on site which you have to pay for. Hotel guests should at least receive a discount for the garage that is attached to the hotel. No free wifi unless you are a member. Amenities mentioned on hotels.com are deceiving as you have to pay for the ones they list. The room itself was clean and well kept but I won’t be returning.
