“Wonderful stay!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Omni. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was a good size and the room was very clean.

“Too expensive for what it offers”

Service was excellent (lots of bell people & such, all helpful). BUT at a heckuva lot for the room plus high price for parking (why even more than the hotel-advertised rate? no answer) plus you-pay for internet & no in-room coffee (must go to Starbucks) & more cash for a bottle of water. It's all too much. First room we were given was clearly a smoking room. Second room had obviously been smoked in. We just gave in & took it. Next time I would look around the neighborhood. Had to be at the 4th circuit, but no need to spend a small fortune on an ordinary room.

“Great location. Can't wait to go back!!”

Went away for a girls night out! Hotel was perfect everyone was super nice. Walked across the street to the tabacco company for a great dinner. Then went to the club downstairs later. No need for a cab or worrying about driving just walked home. Perfect location for a night out with your friends. Can't wait to go back!!!

“very nice hotel, great location”

The hotel is what I would expect from an Omni. The rooms were nicely appointed, spacious, and clean. The bed was comfortable with nice bedding. The front desk and bell staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lot of unique restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend exploring Richmond.

“Expected better”

We arrived with high expectations only to be given a key to a room that already had someones stuff in it. We attended a wedding where they ran out of food (and didn't seem to care about replacing it) and the drink service was extemely slow (one bartender for 200 people). They also ran out of drinks.

“Richmond”

Upon arrival I was extremely pleased with the first impression of the hotel. We were disappointed that the only restaurant did not open until 5:00 pm but they did offer a lounge area to eat in. (not exactly what I would have preferred due to a very limited menu) Once we returned to our room we noticed the lock on our door was NOT functional. We reported this to the front desk and finally 45 minutes later someone came to look at it. The gentleman was extremely professional and did do his best but it took 3 hours and us having to then change rooms to have problem resolved. We missed our plans that evening due to the staff taking so long to figure out what to do! I probably won't stay there again, I would definitely stay at The Jefferson!!!!

Area recommendations
The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond was fantastic! It was everything you would expect from a five star hotel and then some!!! We will only be staying at The Jefferson on our return visits to Richmond.

“Great service but I wouldn't stay here again”

My family and I stayed at the Omni a few weeks ago. The service was great. The hotel provided the kids with great backpacks full of treats and a rolling cart full of games (to be returned at the end of our stay). But what I didn't like about the Omni was the locked fridge in our room, the stained comforter on the bed, the huge crack in the bathroom sink and the $4.50 bottle of bottled water on the table. The water was like a tease -- like a nice welcome but realize that if you open it we'll charge you $5. No thanks, really. I'll get my own water for a lot less. And why the heck was the fridge locked? Oh, and the volume on the tv was locked at an insanely low setting. Bizarre experience all around.

Area recommendations
I'd recommend the Shokoe Bottom Area and the Carytown area.

“Omni for the Race”

“Best in Richmond”

Richmond lacks for good hotels but the Omni is by far the best of a small bunch. It's comfortable, clean, great service. It's not a 5-start hotel but I was completely satisfied. Walking distance to restaurants and shops, great location.

“Rick”

Accomodations were extremely satisfying with exception of initial arrival where room smelled of smoke. Cleaning staff should have been aware of this. Additionally, paying $20.00 a day for parking on a weekend not warrented.
