“Good location, slight repair needed”

Great downtown location, nice lobby. Only drawback was valet only parking and a leak that was not well patched in the ceiling of the room I resided in. Service was good and friendly.

“Good hotel”

Great hotel for the price! Was what we expected from a Hilton property. Did however think the valet was overpriced ($21/day).

“Good, but needs breakfast buffet”

We had a pleasant stay in Richmond. Good location, about 1.5 miles to Shockoe bottom, where there are good restaurants. Complimentary shuttle within 2 miles was nice, but it ends at 10 pm. We realized that a breakfast buffet would have made this a 5 star rating. It was difficult to find any other place open on a Monday (?) and when we managed, parking was impossible. VCU has a huge campus in the city, and no parking in sight on surrounding streets. The hotel is walking distance to the Capitol, beautiful illuminated at night.

Area recommendations

Shockoe bottom for restaurants and the Museum of the Confederacy for fascinating history and Jefferson Davis home tour.

“Hilton Garden Inn”

This was our second stay at the hotel. Location is great for events being held at the collisium ( Disney on Ice). Hotel provides shuttle service within a 2 mile radius. Hotel is contained in a building that foremely was a department store. The rate obtained thru Expedia was very reasonable.

“Will return”

Would have liked the bathroom to be cleaner. Hair was found in sink and on bathroom floor. Rest of room was fine.

Large room. Had a bug problem (fruit flies) which was annoying.parking is expensive. If willing to walk a bit street parking is available.

“A Librarian's Working Hotel”

Picked this location because it was three blocks away from the Library of Virginia. It was so convenient to walk there and back for my research and since it was right on Broad St. it also gave easy access to most major highways. The jacuzzi did not have good "bubble pressure" and looked rusted and kind of sketch, but my room and the lobby were clean. The room service dinner was delicious, the dessert not so delicious. I really wish that they had a breakfast available for room service, no matter how small. The valet are very nice but too expensive when there is a paid lot across the street. There was a great desk in the room from which I worked and wifi for all guests as well as printing in the business service center. A great base for anyone working, especially at the library.

“Super Stay”

Great hotel that was very clean and staffed by friendly people. The business center, printer, and use of fax machine add to this hotel. Rooms are perfectly kept. If you are looking for an ultra nice hotel at an affordable price. Look no further. The shuttle service is also fantastic.

“Very Nice Hotel!”

This was a really nice hotel, stayed there for my graduation and I was impressed. Nice bar, pool, and room! Valet parking is cool but the price is a little high, but it worth the money to not have to ride around looking for parking. Overall I had a great time and would stay there again.
