This Best Western was ok, but could be much better. The area around it wasn't great (car washes and view of storage unit out our window). The room was clean and and quite large, but not sound-proofed. I could hear someone snoring in an adjacent room and there were girls from a soccer tournament that started slamming doors around 6:30 and it went on for over an hour. Room #104 had a full size fridge and cooktop, but no dishes or pots to use, so kind of a waste. We stayed at this hotel rather than others due to the breakfast included, though it was a little disappointing. The cereal and biscuits were stale, the scrambled eggs tasted fake, and the apples were mealy (only apples and oranges offered). There was a person stationed in the breakfast room just sitting there while trash overflowed and milk and plates ran out. For over $200 in a far suburb of Richmond, I expected more.

The Good: -the room had a nice bathroom mirror, bed, was ok -no Internet issues with my phone. I did have issues with my Nintendo switch -downstairs lobby had a great coffee machine, had plastic cups, bowls, and forks The Bad: -the cable has some channels locked but who cares, why are the HDMI ports locked? On the TV, the only other HDMI port is locked and I cannot use it. Even the additional HDMI port on the wall doesn't work. So I was forced to watch the same 6 channels -Kitchen had no silverware, pots, pans. They did have paper cups but since house keeping doesn't exist, we ran out of the first day -stains on the curtains, couch pillows, the cough bed had plastic wrap on it AND it had dirt on top of the plastic wrap -the bathroom had some small stains on the wall and had some hair on the ceiling -breakfast was not looking tasty -no phone in the room, just a cord for the phone to plug into the wall. Any issues we had, we were forced to go downstairs to the lobby -no one cleaned room, I had to go ask for towels and put my trash outside my room because no one ever came to clean my room. I had 3 people in this room, one of which being a baby. Even with the "please come clean my room sign" no one came. We had to go downstairs everyday and ask for toilet paper, trash bags and towels. When I complained in the lobby, I was ignored. When I requested a cleaning, no one ever came to clean. Completely unprofessional overall. It feels like I payed for a hotel and received a motel.

Great room for the price
The room was nice enough. The only complaint was there was only 1 washcloth, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels in the room. When the reservation was made, there was 2 adults and 1 child - age 6. I called the day before to confirm the reservation since I had not used Hotels.com before. The associate was very nice and professional. The desk clerk was friendly and professional as well. There was a nice breakfast, however we didn't partake due to having to be somewhere early.

Not so clean, but great service at the desk
We picked this hotel because of location- it is located not far from 95 and was conveniently situated part way through a long road trip. We needed a pet-friendly place to crash with the intentions of arriving late and leaving after an early breakfast. The staff at the front desk was very personable and very helpful. They greeted us with a smile every time we walked in or out. The room was spacious, offering plenty of room for two adults and two dogs and all of our luggage. The bed was decently comfortable. The hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, to the point that I would pull my shirt up over my nose to breathe. The bathroom and shower were dirty, so we decided not to shower before getting back on the highway and completing our road trip. The complimentary breakfast was not worth waiting for. The grassy areas around the hotel were completely covered in dog poop, and the outdoor trash cans were all overflowing. There was litter all around the parking lot. I imagine it would have smelled horrible in warm weather.

We selected this option because they advertised pots, pans, and other kitchen items. Once there, we were told that they have not provided these since COVID. This should be updated in information, as it's been years now. Otherwise the hotel was worn, but generally good. I wish the room had more light.
