“We will return!”

The greeting on arrival was professional and the welcome 'cocktail' was refreshing. The hotel was well maintained and the pool area clean and comfortable. The only disappointment was the noise from the kitchen (I assume) late at night - our room must have been right over it and there was quite a bit of clattering on cutlery - but did not spoil what was overall, a really lovely weekend. The hotel is up a hill - there are a few steps to climb or you can go up the road - a little easier to manage! It is very close to the old town and the antiques market on a Saturday and Sunday. It is a very relaxed city and we will definitely return and stay at Villa Florentine.

Area recommendations

Both areas of the old and new town. The old town has historic buildings/museums and an antiques market in the square of the lovely cathedral. The new town has the designer shops and good shopping!

“villa florentine”

bien situé, personnel très agréable, resto étoilé excellent dans l'hôtel ( réservez à l'avance) !... la clim ne marchait pas ; on m'a répondu, en substance, qu'il fallait ouvrit /fermer la fenêtre pour cela...sans me prévenir de l'attaque des moustiques vers 6h du mat !!

“Le meilleur hôtel de Lyon”

La chambre était très confortable. Le personnel de l'hôtel était très amical et poli aussi. La piscine et le jacuzzi dans le jardin est aussi fantastique.

“リヨンで一番のお薦め”

ミシュランフランス版の評価とロケーション（世界遺産地区内で眺め良さそう）等を考慮してこのホテルを選択したが、旅行サイトで過去の旅行者のレビューをみたら、２０１０年度の２組は最高評価、２０１１年５月宿泊者は酷評で、実際はどうなのか期待と不安の両方で訪れた。結果的には「自分でもまた来てみたいし、他人にも薦めたい」ホテルだった。見晴らしが良く、部屋もどのスタッフの対応も十分満足できた。（レビューで酷評した人は「部屋の電話が壊れていて、その時の対応が最低だった。眺めも良くないし。」と書いていた。全く不幸でしたねというしかないが、とても信じられない思い。この誤解が他の人に広がらないことを願う。）

Area recommendations

「ノートルダム・ド・フルビエール大聖堂」と「ローマ時代の劇場跡」。大聖堂はそれ自体も素晴らしいが、市内を一望にできる眺めが絶品。ライトアップも良い。劇場跡も天気がいい時に座って居ると、いつ帰るかタイミングに困る。世界遺産地区内は、歩きまわって楽しい。ベルクール公園の片隅にある「サン・テクジュペリと星の王子様の銅像」も、日本人なら押さえておきたい。

“快適な滞在が約束されるホテル”

シャモニでのスキーの帰りに２泊しました。旧市街、ソーヌ川、ローヌ川を見下ろし、豪華ですが落ち着いたロビーやレストランを持つホテルです。部屋も広く清潔で、ベッドや枕も快適です。フロントやコンシェルジェの対応はパーフェクトと言って良いでしょう。様々な質問や疑問に対して骨惜しみすることなく対応してくれました。たまたま滞在した日は併設されているレストランが休みで、夕食を街で摂らなければなりませんでしたが、街までは長くて急な階段を上り下りしなければなりませんので、体力に不安のある方には問題があるでしょう。勿論、街のレストランでの夕食は、旅の楽しみの一つですから、それはそれで良いのですが、見晴らしの良い有名なホテルのレストランで夕食を楽しめなかったのは残念でした。ホテルでの夕食を考えている方は、事前に宿泊日の営業状況を聞いておく必要があるでしょう。
