This hotel is beautiful. It’s a haven of peace and tranquility within easy reach of all that the Old Town has to offer. The staff are wonderful and always welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is a treat !

Restful, Central, Charming, Clean and Delicious
Very comfortable snd homey environment. We had a roomy suite for three nights. Staff is very caring. Breakfast made to order, beautifully, in their private courtyard. Location is great for the historical, and mostly quiter side of life. We walked 1 mile to Elie Beach, and back, for our daily swim.

Stayed three nights in Avalon, evening meal included. Lovely setting with breakfast in courtyard each morning. Room (Eros) very spacious with large shared patio from bedroom. Never quite figured out how to get much power from the jacuzzi shower but did the job anyhow. Evening meals superb. Just ask the menu options earlier in the day.

We spent unforgettable week in Avalon Boutique Suites hotel in Rhodes. There is nothing more to be said that has not already been previously said about the quality of the breakfast and the quiet and beautiful place .Hoists are very kind and attentive to their guests. We sincerely wish them to keep on doing so as long as possible. Such a genuine sense of hospitality deserves to be praised and imitated.Highly recommended this hotel to everyone. Disliked · Nothing

This is an older but very well maintained hotel right in the old town. It is charming. Very close to shopping and many different restaurants. The staff is wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous hotel in a quiet street of Rhodes Town. Beautiful courtyard to sit, listen to the birds and enjoy a fabulous breakfast including sticky chocolate cake... the resident terrapin coming out to sunbathe was a highlight for my daughter. Lovely staff.

What a beautiful little gem! You won’t be disappointed with a stay here, our room was amazing with an upstairs bedroom and even a sun terrace to relax. Stylish, clean and comfortable with all restaurants and the palace in immediate distance, the staff were super friendly and breakfast was very impressive, lots of tasty fulfilling food, honestly couldn’t recommend enough!stay

Avalon is a wonderful, luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Rhodes. The location is like time traveling back to the middle ages, without sacrificing our modern amenities. When you walk up the adjoining “Street of Knights,” with gothic arches and alleys, you appreciate the timeless design of the ancient masons, now repurposed for the modern world. The lobby has a waterfall and wonderful a stone mosaic floor. The staff is more than gracious; extremely accommodating. We arrived at the end of the season so the restaurant was closed, but they were more than willing to offer delicious food. They offer laundry service, dry cleaning, massage and room service. The room is well appointed with such added extras as a safe, welcome snacks, complementary cappuccino, mini bar, refrigerator, electric tea pot, ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, travel arrangements and secretarial services, just to name a few. The breakfast was well done and excellent. I would highly recommend this place and the next time I am in Rhodes I will definitely stay here.

Avalon Boutique is outstanding
Our stay at Avalon was wonderful. We had their best suite, with our own private patio and we used it each morning before breakfast. The breakfast was huge and outstanding. The staff took excellent care of us. AND the location in the old town couldn’t be better: just a minute to the Palace of the Grand Master, and yet very quiet.

6 room hotel within the walls of the old city, housed in medieval building, family run; room was very unique, with 2 levels (main bedroom upstairs), traditional Greek decor, but modern amenities; bathroom was small, but nicely decorated; bed was comfortable, pillows not so much; view from the private patio was beautiful

Beautiful facility with wonderful staff. Location could not have been better. Very upscale boutique hotel with delicious custom made breakfasts. Just one negative was the one mattress I had (we stayed in three different rooms) was unbelievably lumpy.

A long weekend for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary, this hotel is the perfect place for those looking for peace and quiet. Situated within the walls of the old town close to the Grand Masters Palace you are within easy walking distance of the main attractions and places of interest and the shopping area in the new town. the room was spacious and comfortable with an outside terraced area having 2 sun loungers and and table and chairs where you could relax without being overlooked, shame the weather didn't allow us to do this. The staff were very welcoming and polite and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast catered for everyone's taste with plenty on offer. I will certainly be returning to this hotel on my next visit to Rhodes.

Beautiful hotel in the old town
We had an excellent stay. The hotel is situated in the old town so very convenient for restaurants, the harbour and shops. We had a suite that covered two floors, a sitting area and a balcony so very spacious. The breakfast was a feast with bread, croissants, Greek yoghurt, honey, jam, fruit, cake, an option of eggs and a daily Greek speciality. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. At the end of our stay we were moving to a different hotel in the new town and they took our luggage there for us so we could have the day to ourselves, which was a very kind and thoughtful touch. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Stellar experience - right in the middle of the walled town with a delightful garden, attentive and wonderful staff, and beautifully appointed, comfortable rooms. Ask for a Greek dinner in the garden - you will get a delicious, chef-prepared, traditional Greek meal - we'd go back in a heartbeat!

Charming hotel
A beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff was welcoming and accommodating and went to great lengths to make our stay memorable. The rooms were comfortable with many nice little touches. Our only negative is that the air conditioning in the rooms wasn't very functional. Ask for a table fan.

Excellent quiet relaxing hotel
Relaxing in the lovely courtyard attended to by the staff was just what we needed. highly recommended if you don't fancy the swimming pool mayhem and the sunbed rush. Planning on going again soon.

Excellent stay in Rhodes Old Town.
The hotel is a family run business. The staff are very service orientated, extremely friendly, hospitable and go above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and well looked after. I can't thank and praise them highly enough for the excellent friendly service they provided during our stay. The hotel has been very tastefully renovated in keeping with the style, design and look of the medieval old town. It has an outdoor cout yard/dining area with wrought iron tables and chairs all surrounded by lovely elegant trees, a fountain and fish pond.The whole place is spotlessly clean, has excellent free wifi and all the modern conveniences. A wonderful experience all round. Highly recommended. Breakfasts were sumptuous, fresh and plentiful.

Great boutique hotel in the old city
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel in the old Rhodes city. The staff were friendly and helpful and the premium suites spacious and comfortable (although getting to the hotel was a bit of a challenge as cars are only allowed briefly in the old city to unload luggage but of course you first need to find the appropriate city entrance and then the hotel..at night and when you're tired etc.)..nonetheless we got there in the end ;-).

A hotel nestled in historical Rhodes
My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for two nights during the end of the season and found the hotel a friendly and relaxing place full of character. A nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of the surrounding streets full of tourists and shops. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts and the delicious home cooked dinner in the beautiful courtyard with one of the friendly local cats. One of the biggest selling points of this hotel is its location just off the Street of the Knights and it felt very special returning to the hotel through the quiet medieval cobbled streets late at night. Very evocative for any lovers of history.

The breakfast was amazing as were the dinners if you decided to "stay in" plus they would cook whatever type of food you'd like, our choices were delicious. The owners were kind, welcoming and helpful. The staff came in early to make us breakfast before an early boat trip. The bath was large and luxurious and the courtyard was a delightful place to spend time. Unfortunately the lighting in the bedroom was very poor and the living room furniture was beautiful but not very comfortable.

Romantic break in Rhodes
We had a lovely stay at the Avalon Hotel, would happily stay again. Breakfast is traditional Greek and excellent. Our room was very comfortable, one tip I would give is if you need a room with a bath rather than shower, make sure you add a note with your booking. All things considered we were very satisfied with the hotel, and the staff were lovely.

Tranquil hotel in old town
A beautiful boutique hotel in old town and yet only minutes from all you need - transport to beaches, Rhodes town, restaurants, the harbour and of course all the major sites if the medieval city. Staff catered to our every need, the suites are spacious with all modern amenities. The best part of stay besides the wonderful breakfast served each morning was the tranquility of sitting under trees at the end of exploring old town. Enjoying a drink, coffee or something to eat. Highly recommended and hope to be back soon. Thank you Despina. Oh and Despina's mothers home made meals!

Lovely boutique hotel. Wonderful shaded courtyard to eat breakfast, read or just sit and admire the garden. The room was spotless and the staff was very obliging. Breakfast was fine. The hotel is located very close to The Palace of the Grand Master down a narrow little street accessed through the Spainish Gate, away from the noise and bustle of the tourist streets but a 5 minute walk to any of the many restaurants within the Medieval Walls of the old city. A true gem.

We didn't arrive until 23.00 and the hotel manager greeted us in a very friendly manner carrying our luggage to to the apartment and recommended an excellent restaurant which was still open and in easy walking distance. Located in the Old Town so cobbles underfoot and dark narrow streets some badly lit. No good for the elderly or infirm. The hotel manager booked a taxi for us at 6.00am the next morning which arrived promptly dismissing our concerns of a no show. Although we weren't there long would have no hesitation to return.

After a hectic spell at home, Avalon was a delight. the location in the heart of the Old Town is special, and the courtyard is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink or the home cooked food. It is a hardly a stone's throw from the busiest shopping area, but Avalon is beautifully peaceful. Spyros has a bundle of welcoming energy and responded accurately and helpfully to change that we had to make. Our rooms were generous in space and the views form or balcony were a delight - from the castellation of the Knight's Palace to the coast of Turkey across the harbour. Our stay really revived our spirits and we will want to return.

Fantastic location
This was our 2nd trip to Rhodes, but this time we wanted a top hotel in the old town of Rhodes. The hotel down plays it's location but in reality it is on the famous Street of the Knights which is probably one of the most photographed locations in Rhodes! It is literally 30-40 metres from the grand palace entrance. And maybe 150 metres from the top of Socrates street with all of the shops, bats and Restaurants. The street also is host to a couple of consular offices inc France and opposite the Italian one. Spiros the hotel manager was fantastic and seemed to be there 24/7 and nothing was ever a problem for him. Food and drinks were excellent with the outside area for dining having tables in the sun or shaded by the mature trees. Air conditioning was permanently on but set at a very comfortable level and meant returning to a chilled room after a hot day in Rhodes was a welcome return home to base. Unlike many hotels in Rhodes there is plenty of hot water even for a family like ours with 3 female water babies. This was one holiday which we would have been happy to stay on forever.

Comfortable Hotel in Rhodes Old Town
Stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed using the hotel as a base to explore Rhodes Old Town - and beyond. It is very conveniently situated so that both Old Town and the centre of New Town can be easily accessed on foot.

The Avalon in localed in Rhodes Old Town
The Avalon is a quite location to explore Rhodes old town, enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the old town and imposing castles, if favour high rise hotels and swimmings pools then the Avalon is not for you. The staff at the Avalon are excellent (no complaints - thank you to all x) nothing is too much bother, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Turn left out of the hotel and walk two minutes you can enagage with the local markets traders and its many tavenra's. Turn right into the culture of years gone bye Rhodes being the island of the Knights it has a long history and has developed a significant culture throughout the years, from the Avalon it's right on your doorstep. Enjoy!
