“Beautiful Building & Amazing Service!”

We waited what seemed like forever to finally see this hotel, after booking months earlier! We had a delightfully quaint room with attic windows on the top floor. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the location close to the Palace was superb!

“Beautiful Stay!”

This hotel was a really nice stay. We were staying in the family suite, and the room was a lovely character room with attic windows and views over the rooftops. Was a little concerned by other comments that the hotel was hard to find, but we found it with GPS without any problems. Service from all staff was excellent, and the breakfast was excellent! Hotel was a short walk to the tram stop, but no problems getting into the centre of town. Parking might have been difficult on the street, but staff were kind enough to let us park out the back of the building while renovations on neighbouring building were on hold. Would recommend to anyone!

“Nice Little Gasthouse”

The hotel was in a little out of the way area, but the neighborhood was nice and within walking distance to the of the university. The room was great and the breakfast was good. I had off-street parking for my rental car, which was a good thing as the streets and parking are a little tight. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurants in the area are plentiful and the one we found down the hill to the east and around the corner was great.

“For the price against others, not impressed”

This hotel is not the easiest to get to and its the furthest from the city centre that it can be. So you have to tram it in to the centre and if you are lucky you can guess what tram fare should be if you have no german. The hotelier speak limited english and have no tourist info in english and dont offer things to see and do. When we arrived it was dark, we had a big travel bag therw were no lights that we could see up the stairs. The staff were nice and tried to help if they could. The price is only 11 eruo less than the crown plaza in berlin but little comparison in quality. Actually, without considering value against other hotels its ok, but too far from city centre for the price. Also there are only 4 car parking spaces, so you need to get in early and not use your car while your there to keep the space.

“Average hotel at a good price”

As somewhere to sleep and eat a good breakfast, Hotel Deutscher Kaiser is perfectly satisfactory. The hotel is situated in a nice area of Heidelberg, although a mile or so from the old town. Trams to central areas stop a few hundred metres around the corner. The area is very quiet in the evening, with a couple of pubs a short walk away. Rooms, and hotel in general, were basic but clean and comfortable. No complaints for the price.

“Excellent stay, small hotel but my room was so huge by somehow, loved it”

I stayed for one day at this lovely hotel, i was with my parents hence needed a triple occupancy room, they gave me a nice two bedroom with small kitchen and seating area. All needed basics are there and everything felt like it was new. Great beds, typical small town traditional area, the only thing is that its on a narrow street and i needed to find parking in the area since the hotel parking was full. i was at the InterContinental in Hamburg for a week before this one and i loved this hotel 10 times better than the Inter. 100% recommended for a couple or a family.

This hotel is located in a lovely old residential neighbourhood behind a big church. Everyday, you can hear the bell chiming, very different from modern life. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop and about 10 minutes to the centre. The waiting time is almost not noticeable. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast has fresh fruits, cold cuts, boiled egg and fresh bread with coffee and juice. The staffs are very friendly.
