“Heidelberg Hotel????? Really?”

This Holiday Inn is NOT IN Heidelberg....it is in the oustskirts of town and within walking distance of nothing. The Hotel has no elevator and rooms are adequate but not comfortable. Airconditioning was lacking and there was no FREE internet. I was really disappointed with the location as they advertise to be in Heidelberg which they are not. To get to town you have to either drive, cab, or bus it. Totally misleading.

“Beware of up charges”

The hotel itself and the service were great. But if you are looking for attractive prices, consider the extra charges you will be subjected to here: + Euro 8 per day to park, + Euro 13 (or more) per day for internet, and + Euro 20 (!!) per person per day for breakfast.

“Not that impressed”

I'm not sure about other hotels in the area but I'm sure you can do better than this one. There seemed to be a lot of international travelers who were probably drawn to the name. The concierge helped us get a cab and told us it would be the best and cheapest way to get to town. However the cab ride was very expensive and cost nearly double the price just to park the car for the day.

Some staff not very gentle. An affordable hotel but far from downtown.

“Visit to Heidelberg”

The service in the hotel was very good and eficient. The hotel is nice and the room was very comfortable and clean. We where very satisfied. there is an easy parking in the hotel. The hotel is goodf for travelers who visit Heidelberg by car. The hotel is maximum 10 minutes by car from Heidelberg city center. In my opinion to charge 20 euros for breakfast is too much. I do no recomend to eat breakfast in the hotel. Is much cheaper to eat it in one of the restaurants in Heidelberg Hauptstrasse.

“Good hotel but a little far from town”

This was a perfectly fine hotel. The breakfast was very well done and inexpensive. One big problem was that the hotel gym was out of order the entire time, a problem since this was one of the key factors for choosing this one. Great proximity to the highway but not to Heidelberg itself. Very comfortable room. Considering how far out it was, it seems a little absurd that they would charge for parking, since the lot is huge and mostly empty.

“Friendly Staff ...”

Hotel Staff are very friendly and Helpful. My only comments is that Hotel is far from the bus stop and no Fast food restaurant around the corner.

“Not impressed!”

The Holiday Inn bills itself as being in Heidelburg but is in fact some way out of town on a main highway so you need a car to get any where. But if you have a car beware as the hotel CHARGES 8 euros a day for parking which is extraordinary given its out of town position. The other thing to watch is to ask for an all inclusive rate as breakfast is charged at 22 euros a head!! An extortionate rate for a bowl of cereal coffee and toast. There plenty of great hotels in Heidelburg itself and we would certainly choose one of those [any of those] - rather than the Holiday Inn.

“fine hotel for the price”

No problems whatsoever at this hotel. Staff was friendly & helpful, giving good advice about where to park in Heidelberg. Only issue is that it is far from the touristy areas downtown, but I knew that before renting. Definitely recommended.
