“Convenient downtown hotel”
The hotel was very nice and the food in the restaurant was great. Our only negative surprise that was, on arrival, we were informed that we could not have the suite we wanted as a previous occupant had extended their stay. We were accommodated in two separate rooms (luckily, my children are now old enough to be left in a room without adults, but, if they had been younger, this would have been a big problem). My view is that the previous occupant has no right to oust the incoming clients, and they are the ones who should have been made to change rooms. What surprised me was that there was no apology from the receptionist, just an assumption that we would be OK with the change to our booking.
We made two attempts to take our children to the pool, the first at 7.10 pm, when were told children were no longer allowed in, even with accompanying adults, and the following morning, when we got into the pool for 10 minutes, only to be told to get out as there was an exercise class beginning. As the pool was a major factor in our choosing the hotel, I did feel a little disappointed.
