Ideally situated for shops bars and harbour. Very smart interior and rooms although could do with another mirror other than the one in the bathroom. Great breakfast and bar and spa areas. Would definitely stay here again

Gorgeous hotel in a great location

Great hotel right in the centre of Reykjavik which was perfect. Rooms clean and contemporary. Staff mainly helpful but booking tours from the hotel was a little hit and miss. Generally a good hotel though would definitely stay again/recommend

OK, men lever i dag inte upp till sin standard

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: Bra läge mitt i stan.
Cons: Är i behov av renovering.
Location: Det är mitt i downtown nära till affärer, restauranger, turistinfo med mera.
Vi bytte upp oss till ett större rum utan problem. Men rummen är slitna, speciellt vid badrum och dusch.

Great place to chill out

Posted 03-May-2015
Myself and three other friends stated here for our visit to Iceland. The hotel was just of the main shopping street right in the heart of the city centre. Small hotel but very relaxed and chilled out atmosphere. Friendly staff and no hassle to check I of out. Also recommend the buffet breakfast - something for everyone.

excellent central hotel

Posted 03-May-2015
Pros: Central location and not expensive like others we looked at. Very comfortable from the rooms to the lounge area.
Cons: I can honestly say, I think they've got it pretty much bang on.
Location: Location great, the way all the tours and hotel pick ups are organised is the best I've experienced, Loads of restaurants near by.
We went here for our anniversary, from the minute we arrived (late) the welcome was fantastic. Received a lovely surprise of a room upgrade, and wow what a lovely room, we were at the back so lovely and quiet too. Had dinner in the restaurant that night, so tasty!! Breakfasts plentiful and tasty. Would definately go back and would stay at this hotel.

NOISY

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Pros: THE STAFF.
Cons: MAKE SURE THINGS ARE WORKING IN A ROOM BEFORE YOU RENT IT.
Location: CENTRAL TO RESTAURANTS, BARS, SOUVENIR SHOPS.
ROOM FLOODED TWICE. PHONE DID NOT WORK. ELEVATOR DID NOT WORK.

Centrally located; helpful staff

Like most Scandinavian hotels, the rooms are extremely small. We upgraded to a loft style room (2 floors). There are only 2 such rooms. However, this was also small compare to what. We see in standard North American rooms. Extremely clean and pleasant and friendly staff.

Good location

Posted 22-Apr-2015
The location is perfectly central, so If you're only there a couple of nights it's a great choice. I wasn't crazy about the hotel in general, the standard guest room is tiny and the bathroom is a bit old fashioned. Other than that - fine. The breakfast buffet is nice and the Icelandic staff there are very sweet. Overall, good, but not great in comfort terms. If you're booking a hotel in Iceland try and get one on this stretch, you're bang in the centre and right near the tourist office, but if you can get one cheaper than thingholt it's probably worth a look as you may get more for your money in terms of space/room facilities.
