This is the second time that I have stayed at this Hotel and I will stay there again the next time that I visit Iceland. It is a really smart, modern Hotel with a nice bar and restaurant. It is about 15 mins walk from the town centre but the Hotel gives you a plastic card which entitles you to free travel on the bus which travels to the Town Centre and back twice per hour from early to late. The Hotel toiletries are the same ones that they use in their spa and they smell and feel really nice. The Hotel staff are great and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
Stayed here for 2 weeks in Oct/Nov 14 and had such a cool first time hostel experience, really couldn't have chosen a better hostel. The location is great, close to everything one would need or want, good connections for nearby bus stations including the main bus station, restaurants and the main shopping streets. No need to use keys, main entrance and dorm rooms are operated on a key code system that you received via email a few days before your arrival. Was surprised by the full duvets, towels that were supplied free of charge and the good shower. The hostel has an excellent WiFi signal in public areas and dorms as well as computer stations that are available 24 hours a day. During my stay the hostel also started selling some food and drinks, can't comment as I never bought anything though. The hostel is nicely decorated with film and music artwork throughout the building, had a nice large flat screen telly with English channels in the communal area. The hostel is closely located to Hallgrimskirkja Church and right by the oldest swimming pool Sundhöllin in Reykjavik . Didn't have time to try the pool but the Blue Lagoon was a an excellent experience. The hostel is also close by to Tripp tourist information which is were I booked all my excursions, Logi and his team were a great help. You will end up spending a small fortune on excursions, they cost more than my flights, accommodation and transfers. My stay at the hostel was made even better by the people I met.
Very close to shopping, restaurants, bars, and transportation. Our room was very comfortable, with a balcony and skylight window. Breakfast is included and is very good. Hotel staff very helpful in answering questions and arranging tours. Location to major tourist attractions is excellent.
