Nice hotel, new addition is sub par

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Location: Was a bit far from the city centre. We managed to walk to a place for lunch but it took around half an hour, fine if the weather is nice.
We stayed in one of the executive rooms with a sea view, and for what we paid, we were disappointed. Yes you could see the sea, but it was off to the side and had a big crane in the way. The room was no bigger than a regular hotel room. The bathroom was very fancy, however had windows to the rest of the room, kind of strange. The buffet breakfast was excellent, favourite part of my stay, lots to eat and quality food. And lastly, while the staff were helpful for the most part, there seemed to be somewhat of a condisending attitude towards my fiance and I. Perhaps our trekking style of luggage wasn't of their typical clientelle, but we did just finish a back country trip around Madagascar so bear with us, we weren't expecting the Air France strike to land us here overnight. So overall I liked the hotel, but it was definitely not memorable.

HOTEL BELLEPIERRE IN LA REUNION

Posted 27-May-2013
Pros: the view from the room, beautiful
Cons: no real gym
Location: excellent, walking distance from the City center (30 mns)
Superb view of the City (St-Denis) from the rooms, excellent restaurant and friendly staff, walking distance from the City center (30 mns), only regret the lack of coffee and tea facilities in the room + free bottle of water but it is the way they do it in France so no real complain. Excellent value for money, I would recommend the Bellepierre Hotel to anyone staying in St-Denis.
