“A real hotel/casino experience”
I stayed at this hotel in Sparks because it hosted the NorthWest Mining Assication's annual convention in November 2011. During this trip I also stayed for a long time at one of the downtown Reno hotels and at Lake Tahoe. All hotels were booked through Expedia. This was the most expensive of the three and I only booked because of the convention. Having said that, they gave me a fantastic corner room with two walls of windows to South and West. Huge room, clean bathroom, reasonably priced room service and good wifi. A sofa and a Laz-y-boy were more than I expected at these rates. No complaints at all except maybe the bed was too BIG! Well worth the money and a great place to stay if you don't want to leave the hotel or you have a car.
“Great indoor pool!”
The swimming pool is very nice. But water is a little bit cold in the evening/night. We went there one morning and it is perfect!
“loved it !”
I was there to visit family - pool was great I'm the cool auntie ! Gym facility was awesome met my needs perfectly along with my fantastic hotel room.
“Annual vacation to Nugget”
Amazingly clean facility, yet you rarely see any cleaning staff. The buffet was outstanding. Friday night seafood buffet. This is where my fiance' and I re-united and we've made it an annual event
“Okay For the Price”
The East tower of this property looks really amazing. Unfortunately we were in the west tower, which looks like it has the same furnishings as it did when it was built. If I had know these were the rooms we would end up in, I would have booked a motel six. There is no excuse for any place that calls itself a hotel to be this dated. If you are going make sure you get the newer east tower.
“Good place to stay at Reno”
My kids like John Ascuagas Nugget for its indoor pool and Arcade place. I like it for the quiet location and room cleanliness.
“Great pool!”
The hotel has a GREAT indoor pool that the kids had hours of fun in. The hotel had some good restaurants, which made mealtime convenient. It was next to some good shopping and attractions to entertain the whole family. The room was nicly redone. My only complaints were that our window did not shut all the way and it was a little noisy being so close to the airport and trains. Also, you could hear every word through the door of the adjoining room. Luckily, the neighbors only kept me up late one night. Lastly, you don't get free Internet. However, you can get wifi down in Starbucks. All in all, we liked the hotel and would return.
“Nice hotel”
It was a non-smoking room but a light smell of cigarette can be smell in the room when you first walking. Thanks
“Great hotel with great deal”
This is one of two best hotels in Reno with indoor swimming pools, and I would strongly recommend this hotel for family vacation.
“Train or road noise unavoidable.”
Train tracks on one side and freeway on the other. Train and road noise are unavaidable in upper floors of hotel towers due to location of property, but are annoying.
