“Satisfied again”
Great location. Worth paying a few pounds extra for a superior room. Some standards are small. Breakfast pricey but enjoyable.
“Good central location”
Hotel is quite basic (very basic for a three star hotel, eg no tea/coffee facilities in room, no radiator in room to dry towels). Room was not large despite having booked a superior grade room. Previous comments about noise from the lift were proved right. On the other hand, the room and the hotel were very clean; the staff were very pleasant; the free WiFi was useful; the location is very central, but then St Malo intra muros is very small and everything is within a five minute walk.
“Nice stuff”
Nice hotel. Room was comfy and clean and staff were English speaking, very friendly and very helpful. Good location too, inside the walls of the old town and close to beaches, bars and restaurants.
“Decent hotel in the centre”
Very nice place for weekend or short break. Friendly and helpful staff, all English speaking. Rooms small, however well maintained and warm and cosy in winter, even on very cold days. Bathroom also small, hovewer it was not a big problem. Breakfast was suprisingly very good for continental breakfast, very good bread , cheese , fruits yoghurts, I would stay there again. No complaints.Overall good price on Expedia comparing to prices in St.Malo
“Affordable and accommodating”
Hotel is in a good central location yet not in the hub. Hotel staff very welcoming and accommodating. Family room, catering for three adults, was simply furnished but adequate for our needs. Were happy to keep our luggage on day of check out for most of the day. Very good value for money out of season. Would stay again.
“Friendly hotel in the Inta muros in St Malo.”
The hotel Du Louvre is situated within the old city, signposted "Intra Muros". Set in the narrow cobbled streets, it can be difficult to find at first. Fortunately, we have printed a map of the area, and once we sorted out the one-way streets, it was easy, but picking our way through crowds of pedestians was slightly stressful. Obviously, there is little parking in the old city, but they arranged a three day pass for the car parks that were only a five minute walk away, at the martina, outside the walls and close to the tourist Information office. There are limited catering facilities in the hotel, serving only buffet breakfast, which we did not try, so can't comment on it. But not far away, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants, with menus and prices to suit most people. this includes breakfast (continental, of course!). Overall, we had a very pleasnt three day stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly, and speak good English.
