We had a bad start to our holiday since half our luggage didn't arrive and it rained heavily but the hotel was so lovely and relaxing that we soon forgot about it, especially when the sun came out. The restaurants are superb, especially Tokyo Bay, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the beach is amazing. The manager told us that 65% of their business is repeat bookings and I can see why. We would certainly go again.
Excellent experience. We had a home related challenge that they helped us manage. Great chef.
Sandy Ground has Roy's Bayside Grill and the best fish and chips I have ever had. On Da Rocks is a must on Sunday for crayfish special
Our trip to Anguilla was everything and more than we anticipated. The island itself is gorgeous, nowhere have I seen more beautiful beaches and inviting waters. We chose to stay at the Malliouhana Hotel after reviewing all resorts on the island. I can say with certainty that we made the best choice. The Malliouhana sits on a cliff, overlooking Meads bay and the wide open sea. Standing on our balcony was as though we were at the helm of a cruise ship, steering our way into the sunset each night and awakening to the beautiful bluest of blue waters each morning. The hotel grounds were immaculate, and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Bart, the hotel manager, was so often available to chat or to answer questions, and it was obvious that he took much pride in his staff and grounds. Our wish was his command, and he and his crew went above and beyond to help us understand the truly genuine people the islanders are. Because this hotel was so authentic and made us really feel a part of the island, we have already decided that we will return to Malliohana the next time we visit Anguilla. We knew we were at the beach relaxing, and never felt like we were in the glitz of the Manhattan rat race (which we did feel when we visited the Viceroy, just down the beach.) And, as we did this time, we will start our next vacation with Devon's "original rum punch", which was the best on the island!
