“fantastic.”
not a cheap hotel. It is a very new hotel located 5 mins from the towns main train station. It took 15 mins to walk main town and 20 mins to the cathedral. and is 15mins from MUMMS champagne house. The room was the best hotel room we have stayed in for many years. it was large and the best thing was the wc was seperate from the shower+ bath also the films on the tv were free. if you dont mind spending the money then this is a great place to stay.
“Brilliant all rounder”
This hotel is a great concept, and has obviously taken the module concept from yacht design to excellent effect in the room design. More of an apartment than a room, many studio dwellers would be delighted to have this level of comfort and practicality. There were only 2 of us but there was a single truckle bed stored under the main bed and the sofa doubles as a single bed. Screens pull over separting the double bed area from the living area - this would be perfect for friends sharing or a small family (and some rooms are designated where you can take your dog!). All very stylish, clean and comfortable, and a great location a 10 minute walk from the action. Costs are kept down by paper cups for coffee in the room etc but apart from that this rivals much more 'luxury' branded hotels. I would recommend it to anyone.
“Champagne Weekend”
Nice new hotel with comfortable rooms which include kettle, fridge and microwave. Nice and clean and staff helpful and friendly. You can buy food from reception to re-heat in the microwave - so no problems with late/missed meals. Hotel next to the railway, but extremely well insulated for sound - so no issues at all here. To walk into town, go through railway station and it is about a 10 minute stroll to Brasserie Flo (well worth a visit) at the start of the town centre. Hotel parking limited, but station car park next door and it was10 Euros for 24 hours. WiFi signal was too weak for our room (ground floor next to reception).
“Great time in Reims”
Brilliant next-generation hotel. You could live there. Great shortcut through the railway station to the city - just a short walk
“Good hotel though slightly out of the way”
An excellent, clean and brand new Novotel. A large room with everything you need (even tea/coffee making which is very rare in France). Oddly, there's no iron or ironing board in the room meaning a visit to the second floor for your shirts. It is on the "wrong side" on the railway station for Reims itself but it's not that far a walk. Recommended for a pleasant, no hassle stay but you might need to choose the breakfast as there's nothing nearby.
“Lovely lovely lovely room!”
After 5 weeks of traveling around France and Italy experiencing lots of hotels and campsites, we were thoroughly impressed with this one. The room was huge with so many comforts and amazing touches, a brilliant selection of free films and the hotel was also offering free massages which we took them up on. It only took a quick 10mins to walk into the centre of Reims. All in all a fabulous night.
“Great family hotel”
Handy location and helpful staff. The hotel was great for our family stay this September.
“What we expected.”
Modern, clean lines is what is advertised and is what you get. Nice touch to have complimentary wifi. Room was comfortable but we didn't much like the 'pod' nature of the bathroom facilities. Short walk to Reims centre through railway station!. Limited secure car parking at side of hotel. If full you will have to pay for public car parking. Breakfast is a help-your-self system but the food was excellent.
“Excellent value”
For a family with children, this was an excellent hotel. In terms of space, amenities, location, and value for money. I am usually a tough reviewer of hotels but this hotel compels me to provide such superlatives. Which other hotel in Europe will you find a separate bathtub and shower, numerous supplies in bathroom, spotless cleanliness, fridge, microwave oven, both wireless and wired internet in room, 20 to 30 free movies on-demand (including 10-15 recent ones), English TV channels, and yes, two extra twin beds for two children. All this for a very reasonable price (by Europe standards). I am not sure if all Novotel Suites are similar, but I will seek them out next time.
“Good hotel for base in Champagne region”
Good hotel, friendly multi-lingual staff, expensive breakfast (12 euro's per person), small car park (Approx 15 spaces), comfortable rooms, restaurant over the road stays noisy into the early hours ..... and we usually sleep like logs ! Good location for exploring Reims, Museum of the Surrender just along the road, cross the railway to explore Reims centre, approximately 10 minute walk to the cathedral, about a 30 minute walk to Veuve Clicquot. Easy rail links to Epernay for the Moet tour. Go to : The Veuve and Moet tours, they're definately the better ones, and The Grande Cafe, the Moules in lobster soup are a must.
