Such a gem of a hotel

Posted 24-May-2014
Pros: The atmosphere, rooms and staff
Cons: They need a bigger certain park as it's very tight getting in and out. They should think about opening a restaurant as they'd make a great job of it.
Location: It's a walk of about 15 minutes to the centre of Epernay and along this road are many big champagne houses with tasting facilities and organised visit
From the moment you arrive the service is outstanding. The staff were welcoming, booked tables and taxi for dinner. We were escorted to an outstanding room, with everything you need, safe, hair dryer, TV, king size bed and a single, huge bathroom. The room was stylish and comfortable they had thought of everything. Breakfast the next day was in a beautiful room and plentiful also very nice. The grounds, terrace, pool was lovely. We had a drink in the lounge it was very nice. The only downside is the small car park and they should expand to have a restaurant as I'm sure it would be superb.

Delightful hotel within easy walking distance of many Champagne houses and the town centre beautiful walk at night. Free locked car parking useful if traveling. It has beautiful gardens and friendly and very helpful staff. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.

Lovely hotel on the Avenue de Champagne

Posted 10-Jan-2014
Pros: Comfort and size of the room. The staff.
Cons: Thought the breakfast was overpriced at €17
Location: Good location just outside the town centre but very close to a number of champagne houses
We had a lovel stay at La Villa Eugene. The staff were warm and friendly an de hotel is a beautiful old world style. Especially loved the claw foot bath in our deluxe room. It's about a 10 / 15 min walk into town which you might want to factor in when considering the hotel, but it was great for us, as a bit of a walk after a great dinner in town was perfect.

Pros: Bedroom and Bathroom
Cons: Hotel facilities in general were lacking
Lovely large bedroom and bathroom well appointed with quality furniture and fittings. Room was however subject to road noise, early in the morning. The rest of the Hotel lacked facilities, i.e. no restaurant, porter, leisure facilities, things that you might expect with a 5 star Hotel. 15 minute walk to the nearest restaurant.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Champagne

Posted 08-Nov-2013
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in France. We had the deluxe room and it was a full apartment with a private terrace. The hotel staff were excellent, courteous and very friendly. The location of the hotel is walking distance from Moët et Chandon, Meursier, Collard-Picard and many others.

Ok in Epernay

Expensive hotel for just ok facilities. Bed Comfy. Superior room was large. Disappointed that we were not allowed to eat in common areas of hotel in evening as hotel had no restaurant and our baby was sleeping in room.

Very nice hotel but slightly out of the centre

Posted 11-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
Comfortable stay in our room. Good deco throughout. Only issue is the TV is far too small and would be nice if hotel has a DVD player to rent out if possible. Located slightly out of town so walk to most champagne house and restaurant will take at least 20 mins. On the way back, road quite dark so was a bit scared. Quite pricy hotel...maybe should include breakfast in room price.

Great location on Rue Champagne and all the Champagne houses. The room was large, clean and comfortable, and the staff was professional and friendly. Overall a very nice romantic hotel.
