“A Little Rundown but Would Use it Again”

The hotel is like many old French hotels, a bit rundown. It has not been decorated for at least 20 years, all the fixtures and fittings are very old, but it is reasonably clean. Beds have blankets rather than quilts. If you don't like the comments so far, then don't use this hotel. Stay somewhere more expensive. My family were happy with it and would use it again. The location was excellent, surrounded by bars and restaurants and only a short walk from the shops and the visitor attractions. The Buirette and Erlon car parks are right outside and an outdoor carpark is just across the road. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the railway station.

“Good Location”

We enjoyed the location of the hotel but the comfort was not what we expected. If the hotel would restore some of the rooms and common spaces it could be a wonderful hotel.

“grand hotel du nord”

Hotel très bien situé malgré un acueil très moyen. Le plus gros défaut de cet hotel est le manque d'entretien. Tant au niveau de l'hygiène que des chambres et du mobilier. Petit déjeuner très moyen.

“Bof !”

Hôtel très moyen, un peu "usé", un peu triste. Chambre pas prête avant 15 heures, et j'ai demandé 2 fois à en changer, ce qui a été accepté d'ailleurs, parce que la première chambre proposée, ainsi que la seconde, donnaient à l'arrière sur d'horribles toits. La troisième, enfin, donnait sur la rue, animée mais quasi piétonne; seulement située au premier étage, l'enseigne de l'hôtel masquait la vue mais je n'ai pas osé réclamer une troisième fois. Confort minimal, tout juste correct. Seul avantage : la situation à deux pas de la gare, tout près de la cathédrale.
