City hotel in Main Street

Unfortunately due to a music festival which went on until 3 in the morning it would be unfair to rate. Great position extremely noisy and unable to sleep!!

Easy reservation, good choice for breakfast, lots of other places also for outside dining in the same street.

Great location

The hotel is basic but is very well situated. You are right in the thick of the caf├ęs and shops and not too far from the big Champagne houses.

great location, but late night outside noise if street facing bedroom. we were advised that hotel will be getting air con soon - this will help with street noise as we had to have windows open due to heat. enjoyed our stay there, plenty to do and see!!

Good for a stopover or a short stay.

A good central location and very close to safe underground parking. The rooms at the front are noisy, which might annoy some residents.

Back to Front

Location: Great location in the centre of Reims.
We've stayed here before and knew that it can be noisy in the street outside at night due to the location of the hotel. This was never a big problem. However the last 2 times we stayed here we had a room at the front of the hotel. This time we were at the back. The difference was very noticeable. We could hear every noise in the hotel it seemed. Every time someone used the toilet or shower, opened or closed a door, we could hear it. On top of that the room was stuffy due to the lack of air, so we opened the window to let some air in. It rained most of the night, the rain drops hitting the metal panels on the roof outside the window sounded like someone throwing stones... most of the night. This hotel is now part of the restaurant next door, which seems very popular with the locals. The food was good enough and the staff friendly. They do have free Wifi, but I gave up trying to get it work. My advice would be to get a room at the front if you're going to stay here.

Pros: nothing
Cons: The room and smell
Location: Noisy
There was an awful smell in the bathroom.Could not decide if it was stale cigarette smoke or dirty drains. The net curtain smelt of smoke, probably because people had smoked on the balcony. The flooring was Lino,no rug or mat so the room was basic and uninviting. The walls were very thin,so that when the man next door answered his phone I could hear every word. The toilet though clean was painted chocolate brown which made it dark and oppressive. The room was at the front of the hotel and faced onto the street which was very noisy until late at night, the street cleaners were out early and therefore so were we.The restaurant by comparison was updated with good furnishings and very welcoming. We think the owners should have a good look at the hotel and ask themselves if they would like to stay there.Attention should be paid to the double glazing to address the noise problem

Re-ferb. v good

Posted 26-May-2012 on Hotels.com
The location is perfect, center of town, can walk to everything and drive 20 mins to villages to taste champagne, or go to the ones in town. Price was good, it has new windows, we were at the front and it was a busy, everyone eating outside, but it was quiet still. There is no parking, and we didn't get a discount, it's 12 euros a day in the town multi-story. Very clean, nice big bed. The picture we booked from was a cute french cafe, but the re-ferb has changed the look to a trendy slick look. If going again, i'd probably stay in the champagne beautiful towns around and visit reims, not loads of things to do and easy to get to from beautiful villages.

Great location

Great location, close to the station, the main square and easy access to the motor way. Hotel decor is a little tired, but the staff are very helpful, the atmosphere is good around the hotel and there is a very nice pavement cafe/bar/restaurant outside. Loads of other choices for food and drink within a short stroll. A good budget hotel in a great location with easy underground parking right outside. Would definitely book again - good value for money in the centre of Reims
