Not bad for the price. Obviously not a luxurious room, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Better than expected

I knew that at $55 a night, I wouldn't be getting a luxury room. But the room was pleasent enough. It was clean and well kept. The king bed was comfortable. We did not have the breakfast. All in all, I was happy with my stay and would stay again. Seemed like a great value.

Their must be another option, maybe the car?

Posted 19-Nov-2013
Pros: I really can't think of any.
Cons: Read the above review, that is the short version of my opinion.
Location: Again read the above review, now there may be a newer portion to this town, but please do not follow the signs for the shopping district.
Worst hotel I stayed at in decades. Online photos must be when hotel was built, about the 70's. The room furnishings were old and dilapidated, sitting on the beds felt like you were sitting on the floor, the 2 desk chairs and square table were so wobbly I was afraid to put anything heavy on them. Vanity & sink were sprayed painted white to make them look clean, bathtub was badly stained, dirty and fixture knobs just spun. Drainage was slow at best. Toilet seat loose and slid all over the place. Mini refrigerator freezer was pretty much frozen solid & unusable. Tissue storage box was empty. Towels were old & seem quite small in size. Get the picture or should I continue? Followed local signs for the shopping district looking for a place to have diner only to find the downtown looked like a ghost town with 90% of stores/shops had their windows/doors boarded over. Had to drive 30 miles back to another town to find a suitable restaurant for dinner. If this hotel was my last option, I'd choose my car to sleep in & find a rest stop bathroom facilities in the morning to freshen up. Sorry I didn't think to take photos, please don't ask me to return their to take photos.

The pool is closed even though they say that they have one and the pictures online are definitely not what the hotel was really like

Decent if you're staying for the Martinsville race

Other than that, the town of Eden is terrible. There's nothing to do except drink. The room itself wasn't that bad but maintenance lacked big time: stains in the sink and toilet, shower handle wasn't attached, no screen in the window, old tv, smelled stale and old, etc.
