“Charming but noisy and hot”

This hotel has a lot going for it - a super location, efficient service and friendly staff, plus the rooms are well-appointed and spotlessly clean. However, we each had rooms overhead the restaurant terrace which meant that we had to choose between a hot room with the windows shut or a noisy room with the windows open! Also (and unusually for German hotels), the floors were wooden as opposed to concrete - which meant we could hear people creaking around all night. We aren't fussy eaters or tight fisted gits, but we found the restaurant menu to be limited, expensive and a trifle pretentious. We instead opted for the fabulous eaterie across the road which had more atmosphere, an earthier menu and keener prices. Similarly, the bakery next door does a very good morning coffee and pastries! As with many boutique hotels, we felt that this was perhaps a case of "style over substance".

“Smallest bathroom in the world?”

I was given a room with a bathroom so small that a hand towel covered more than half the floor. The sink was one of those you find in a downstairs toilet, just big enough to wash your hands, and with no plug. It was totally unacceptable and I would have been very upset if I had booked a week's holiday there. Having said that, the staff were very attentive and the restaurant served good, if overpriced, food. Breakfast was excellent.

“Das Hotel Ganter liegt nahe an den schönen Sehenswürdigkeiten”

Das Doppelbett war sehr schmal und stand mit einer Seite zur Wand.Wenn ich also das Bett verlassen wollte,mußte ich immer über meine Frau steigen. Der Boden war so schräg,daß man das Gefühl hatte,man müsse immer Bergauf laufen.Der Boden unseres Zimmers und auch der anderen Zimmern quitschte so laut,daß man erst einschlafen konnte,wenn alle Gäste um uns herum im Bett lagen.Dazu kommt noch ein Minibad,wo sich nur eine Person aufhalten Kann.Mann könnte dieses Zimmer gerade noch als Einbettzimmer akzeptieren,aber nicht als Doppelzimmer.Das Essen war sehr gut,aber für meinen Geschmack gab es zu wenig Fleischgerichte.Die gesammten Speisen und Getränke waren zu teuer.

“Gerne immer wieder!”

Wie immer ein gelungenes und schönes Wochenende am Bodensee in einem einwandfreien, sauberen und komfortablen Hotel. Der Service ist super, das Essen (v.a. auch das Frühstück) genial und die Zimmer einwandfrei. Jederzeit gerne wieder !

“Lage gut, aber für den Preis etwas Besseres erwartet”

Check-In leider erst um 15 Uhr, keine Minute früher. Wir hatten 2 DZ reserviert und warteten, um uns nach der Anreise für eine Hochzeit umzuziehen. Es war nicht möglich auch nur eines davon früher zu bekommen. Als Doppelzimmer sind die Betten viel zu schmal.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, vielen herzlichen Dank für Ihr Feedback zu Ihrem Besuch. Generell garantieren wir eine Bereitstellung der Zimmer um 15.00 Uhr. Dies ist sowohl direkt auf expedia.de als auch aus Ihren Reiseunterlagen ersichtlich. Sofern die Zimmer bereits früher bezugsfertig sind, stellen wir diese dann auch gern den Gästen bereit. Da aber an einem Wochenende in der Hauptsaison eine sehr starke Frequentierung des Hauses statt findet, war dies in Ihrem Fall leider nicht möglich. Wir empfehlen in dem Fall das Sie die Zimmer früher benötigen eine vorherige Information an uns, dann läßt sich dies auch zu "Stoßzeiten" realisieren. Die von Ihnen gebuchte Standardkategorie ist sowohl mit französischen Betten als auch mit Doppelbetten ausgestattet. Wir empfehlen an dieser Stelle Wünsche zum Bettentyp in ihrer Buchung zu vermerken. Die Zimmer der Komfortkategorie sind alle mit klassischen Doppelbetten ausgestattet.

“Gemütlich romantisches Hotel zum Entspannen”

Allein die Anfahrt zur Reichenau ist schon einen Blick wert. Das Hotel liegt zwar an der Straße, es hat aber kaum Verkehr. Man kann schön spazieren oder in Konstanz shoppen. Abendessen würde ich auf jeden Fall im Hotel, ist zwar etwas teurer, aber jeden Cent wert - einschließlich Nachtisch. Der Wellnessbereich ist modern und gemütlich und immer sauber. Tee gibts kostenlos, andere Getränke kann man anschreiben lassen. Auch die Behandlungen sind sehr angenehm und bezahlbar.

“Zimmmer über der Küche”

Wir haben ein Zimmer bekommen, dessen Fenster im 1. Geschoß über dem Dunstabzug der Küche lag. Der Ausblick ging auf ein Flachdach mit Lichtkuppeln der Küche, dahinter ein anderes Gebäude. Lüften war wegen der Mückenbrut auf dem Flachdach kaum möglich - die mit einem Mückschutz versehen Fensterfläche war viel zu klein. Gechlafen haben wir deswegen kaum.

Unbedingt ein anderes Zimmer geben lassen.

“Bodensee Geheimtip”

Sehr emfehlenswert, wenn auch der Preis sehr hoch für die Hotelkategorie erscheint, aber es ist eben die Bodenseeregion.
