The hotel is within walking distance of the Ferry and direct to Reggio Calabria promenade including, as well train station to Scilla.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room was quite small and basic. Dining Room was enjoyable and food was excellent. Staff had limited English, but were very helpful in assisting us with the menu.

This is the best staff I’ve ever encountered in a hotel, and I travel a LOT. Super friendly and helpful. We love the waterfront of Reggio and this is on the far end of it and just steps away from the ferry to Messina, Sicily. So convenient! I definitely recommend you take them up on their offer for airport transportation because we paid so much more hailing a taxi at the airport. The shower is small, but AMAZING! . I would definitely stay here again!

All the staff were super friendly, with a skill to make one feel extra special. Knowledgable and very helpful. Completely enjoyed our stay at Hotel Continental and would recommend.

Convenient
The room cleaned and comfortable. The location about 15 ,20 minutes to the center. My interest to visit the Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia. About 10 minutes walk. We were able to find Parking front of the hotel.

Staff were great. Hotel is 1 min walk from ferry terminal, 5 min walk from via marina (seaside walkway and communuty hangout area) and various shops and restaurants. 15 min walk to the corso - pedestrian street with lots of stores.

Room had a small balcony, good air conditioning, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast option but better only a few blocks away at gran caffe. Saw some tiny ants in the room. But the desk clerk quickly called someone to deal with it. Very positive experience overall.

SUPERB!
I have been coming to this hotel for over 10 years twice a year and I find that it keeps improving. Try their restaurant, one of the best in town. Brilliant service and friendly athmosphere. They could do with more lounge space though. I will be back again!

Great quiet hotel with fabulous restaurant on site
It was a very pleasant stay for us. Myself and my friend stayed for 3 nights. The location was great, walkable, quiet, great view of sea ( we got a jr suite)! The staff were very helpful and friendly. To my surprise the restaurant was excellent! It was rainy and windy, so we ate at the restaurant, chef made some vegetables as I didn’t want big meals. It was surprisingly delicious and so reasonable! Loved it!

I have been coming to this Hotel for many years and it is like home now. Friendly staff, magnificent view. good prices. They could improve their ancillary services and remember that guests need food even during holidays :)

Hotel should be rated a 2. Room is very outdated with no complimentary shampoo. Shower was toning difficult even for a regular size person. Very disappointed ☹️

The service at this hotel was amazing! I have had the good fortune to travel extensively over my lifetime, and have to say that the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at this hotel was second to none. The hotel is well located for the ferry to Messina and also accessible to the main sights of Reggio di Calabria.

I would return!
Everything was good, rooms were clean (shower could have been cleaned a little better—maybe just old fixtures?) rooms were always cleaned and towels were more than enough. It was kind of annoying to carry around the massive heavy key (no card entry) but not a deal breaker.

It was ok. Excellent for the ciost
Cons: Cigarette smoke in our room. Bulldozers outside our window in the morning. Pros: Price, cleanliness, location, parking, staff, breakfast, able to open windows for fresh air, all amazing. So ask staff for a non smoking room for sure. If you get up early, bulldozers won’t bother you.
