“Excellent location and value!”
The location near the freeway, but far enough to have reduced traffic noise was very convenient. The Woodside Grill restaurant, on site, was quite pleasant and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and courteous. We would recommend this hotel to all travelers.
“Best Stay in Redding Area”
We were very pleased that we chose to stay at the Gaia Shasta Hotel. We checked in very late, and the only staff person we had contact with was the front desk clerk - it was nice to be greeted by a smile and helpfulness when you're tired from traveling. The landscaping was beautiful, with ponds, fountains, swans, and native plants. The room was modern and comfortable and CLEAN. Definitely will stay there again!
“Quiet and Comfortable!”
We have a family of 5. These rooms had very comfy beds. There was no Continental Breakfast, but lots of restaurants and fast food places nearby for children with selective appetites. Great stay. The rooms had a nice big desk and we found that usefull for laptops and other items.
“A very good experience.”
Gaia Shasta is an excellent alternative to the chains located in Redding, mostly on Hilltop Ave. Our rate was approx. half the price and the quality of the room and the service was superior to the hotels we have used in the past for our stays in the area. The room was perfect, and the grounds are beautiful. Couldn't be more convenient relative to the Interstate, but we did not hear any road noise. Access to Redding was about five minutes by car. Highly recommend, we will use this hotel for our next visit.
“Great find”
Excellent facility. Restaurant/bar is on site and is great; no need to look elsewhere for good food. Wait until you get there to have dinner - its worth it! Rooms clean / quite / comfortable.
“Will stay there again”
The bed was so inviting with the clean fluffy down comforter and pillows. Be sure to try the special dressing they serve on salads...........everything we ordered was done to perfection. Will stay there again when driving along I-5 and certainly recommend it to our friends.
“October 2011”
This hotel was a nice change from the usual hotel/motels you would find off the highway. It is located right off the highway and is very easy to find. The room was very clean and depending on the location on your room it can be quiet. Some of the rooms faced the highway/road and you can hear the noise. The linens that they used on the bed was great...it felt cozy. The receptionist was accommodating as well, we did not like the first room assigned and she moved us to a different location. Great stay will return again.
“GREAT HOTEL WITH THE RIGHT IDEAS”
the questions on the review were the wrong ones to ask...in fact this hotel has my triple star rating because it takes the time money and class to make a healthy hotel environment, which is the number 1 reason i resent paying so much to sleep somewhere! This hotel ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so awesome this concept, and just walking in my room I could smell and feel how clean and NON-toxic it was! i gave it an average rating for cleanliness because the maid service was so-so, hair in the tub, for two days...sink not cleaned, etc. but the facility and air quality and environmental consciousness was AMAZINGLY refreshing...never got a chance to get into the pool but even that was non-toxic!! WAY TO GO GAIA!!! Also the staff seems clueless and poorly trained....its like they build a beautiful hotel, but staffed it with left over hotel 6 people!!!
“Not a chain...”
Considered a "recommended" motel, located just So. of Redding, in Anderson, CA. This is not a "chain motel". Touted as being "green", it had modern decor and obviously is used for weddings and spa happenings. Convenient to major thoroughfare. Our room looked onto the pkg. lot (rather noisy), but others had decorative pool views, w/ real swans a-swimming! Clean, w/ very reasonable rate. Took 2 reminders and 2+ hrs. to get the promised refrig. needed for medical reasons. No continental bkfst.--want you to use their attached restaurant. An interesting stay, but we might seek out a chain motel in the future.
“Great bargain for a luxury hotel”
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay here, the room was clean, and spacious, the bed, and bedding was as nice as home. We had 2 meals at the adjacent restaurant and enjoyed that as well, the food was great , the service was outstanding, and the prices were quite reasonable. All in all we both highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying again on our next visit to the area.
