Property is a tourist type Hotel for families on a budget. It’s not well kept, furniture very worn bathroom needed overhaul and do not stay in rooms that face the main Avenue you won’t be able to sleep due to the traffic noise. I would not recommend if you are on a business trip and require rest, peace and tranquility to work.

Excellent location, two small blocks from the beach. A lot of activities going on at the hotel since it was carnival. Delicious breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff

Great place, great service, BUT AVOID THE FIRST FL
Arriving late is never a good thing. The hotel was full, the only room left was on the first floor, facing the road in front of the hotel. The noise level was very high. I could not go to sleep until 3:30AM, not a good thing after flying 8hrs. The front desk staff could not do anything, however they told me, they would change me to another room next day. They did!!

Decadent, but reasonable
I've stayed couple of times in this property and see that it is getting worse. It is not terrible, but some maintenance aspects need to be taken care. Still, location is good, breakfast also.

O Recife é um destino bastante procurado e estamos trabalhando com altíssima ocupação média. Mesmo assim conseguimos fazer todas as manutenções preventivas e corretivas (quando necessário). Great customer service
The customer service specially from IURI, at the front desk, was excepciónal. This gentleman helped me with booking a taxi, recommended some great places for dinner, assisted me with the checked him. I will definitely be back to this hotel.

Good stay for the price
For the price it was fine. It was well located and close to restaurants and the beach. The rooms were comfortable but needed maintenance. I had toove from my first room because the a/c didn't work and in the 2nd room, the toilet was not bolted to the floor. The free breakfast was great though and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Kastel Manibu was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!!! Bilingual English-speaking staff with world class customer service an high quality amenities. Extremely happy to stay here. I would stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay here in Recife. Very good!

Attention: this property is greedy. They charge for everything. Even 100 reals for a visitor; whether to talk or have an encounter. Only guests can use the elevator, which they will eventually charge to ride. Bad location, bad breakfast food, mold in the shower.

Nice 4-star hotel, excellent location & breakfast
Very pleasant stay! Excellent location, 1 minute to the beach, busy area with plenty of restaurants and shops around, and 15 to 20 minutes to airport and 2 major shopping centers. The Old Town (Recife Antigo), which is a nice area for sightseeing, is also about 15 minutes drive - just a few dollars on Uber. The hotel itself is classified as 4 stars and it still has most of the features of a 4 stars hotel. They recently cut room service but dinner and coffee are available until 10pm in the restaurant near the reception. Breakfast is excellent, a mix of continental & cooked items with some local Recife cuisine. Internet was fast and stable. All the signage was in Portuguese and English, and a few of the key staff can speak some level of English. I wish I had time to enjoy more often the top-floor swimming pool, right next to a tiny gym. The service is good, nobody is very smiley, but they are efficient and courteous. I would certainly stay here again.

It was well placed with the beach a block away and buses passing in front to get to different places. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The men at the desk got us a tour when our planned one didn't work out.

O hotel é muito bom, muito bem localizado. O café da manhã é excelente, funcionários atenciosos e solícitos, principalmente o da piscina e do bar. O único porém é a limpeza e arrumação que não foi feita durante a estadia. Ligamos para a recepção e só foram ao quarto no final do dia, qdo já havíamos voltado dos passeios. Nos forneceram toalhas e papel, mas não houve limpeza, pois seria incômodo sair do quarto naquele momento.
