“Love Island!”
We did have to move rooms after first night because things werent up to standard but as soon as we told the manager he looked into it and moved us to a lovely room with a sea view. Free bikes and canoes Fabulous beach. Beautiful resort, only one restaurant (bit limited) lovely little ferries although they only run every hour and although they tell you the last one is about 8.30 they do keep running till midnight ferrying staff home (although they weren't very forth coming with this information) and you can pay after midnight.Amazingly helpful friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Ideal getaway for relaxation and loving couples but lively town only a short taxi ride from the ferry drop off point.
“Great holiday”
Hotel grounds and pool are beautiful but what makes this the perfect place for a holiday was the staff and managment. Nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is lovely and we didn't leave the resort as quality of the food and service made it too hard to leave. Highly recommend for couples and families.
“Peaceful, friendly place”
My husband and two year old boy and I recently spent five nights at rebak island as part of a trip in Malaysia. The staff here were outstanding in their friendliness and desire to please. There is a great atmosphere at the resort, our sea view room was huge with a lounge area separate to the enormous bed and two separate dressing and bathroom areas. Plenty of room for us and a big balcony overlooking the beach as well. We loved the breakfast, especially the many fresh juices and smoothies available and ate often through room service or at the cafe and enjoyed all our meals. The pool was well maintained and beautifully positioned and our two year old was in heaven going between pool and beach. Staff provided him with plenty of beach toys too. The boat ride to langkawi was easy and we felt it an advantage to be alone on such a peaceful island.
“Rebak Island resort”
The resort is over due for renovations if it is to be classed as a 5 star resort, we enjoyed the stay the food was exselent as was the service but 4 nights was anought as there is not a lot to do apart from the pool. Transfer from the Island was ok but lacking in saftety gear. A good place if you enjoy being away from the night life.
“Will go back to Taj Rebak again...”
Excellent place to stay in. Has a private beach... Only important consideration is while swimming - make sure the tide is high, else during a low tide, rocks are seen... pristine and untouched... Food is very expensive in the hotel, hence will advice to grab food and shop from Cenang - take a jetty + RM 18 one way via taxi... lot of restaurants in Cenang area... otherwise, no complaints about the hotel, staff and the atmosphere...
“One of the best hotels i have been to”
Great hotel overall......definitely have to go there.......
“Very relaxing and private”
Rebak Island is a private hideaway. We felt like we were the only ones on the beach and the service we received from all of the staff was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for those couples wishing a private & relaxing holiday. For those who want to experience the local dining / beach / shopping of Langkawi, I would suggest they stay on the mainland. Overall we had a ball, we only had 3 days and our main aim was to relax - the resort was perfect for us.
“Foods need to improve”
If the foods quality make improvment and the pricing cheaper then I will consider to visit again.
“Will definitely be back”
Rebak Island Resort was paradise. It was absolutely perfect. There were staff everywhere who went out of their way to be helpful and make our stay enjoyable, and they all spoke English. When they learned we were on our honeymoon, we got a free "Happy Honeymoon" cake and our room was decorated with flowers and candles. Being on a private island is slightly inconvenient because you're reliant on the hotel for transport and food, but the food was excellent (and not too expensive) and their transport to the main island was frequent. They offered plenty of activities, including free ones within the resort as well as bookings for activities on the main island. We loved it and are hoping to return next year.
“Relaxing Rebak”
The reception was warm and friendly, something which encapsulates all that is good about Malaysian hospitality. This was my second visit. Every effort was made to make us feel welcome. Rebak resort is quiet. You can relax undisturbed. THe room is spacious and well designed even if the pillows were a bit hard. Room service was much faster than I remember from my previous visit. The food in the restaurant was excellent and varied. I strongly recommend the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The Executive Chef visited all the tables to talk to people and he made everyone feel so welcome. The breakfast was a buffet arrangement. The menu had both local and regional dishes. The service for the coffee or tea was fast, courteous and efficient. The pool was a great place to chill out with a nice refreshing drink and the pool attendants provided multiple fresh towels and made us feel comfortable and welcome. When the tide was in the sea was OK but not many people availed of it. Most preferred the pool. Close-by the sea shore there was a convenient bar and also a place where you could receive a relaxing massage. The gardens were magnificent and the sunsets spectacular. A boat ran roughly ever hour to the mainland. The whole Reback experience gave a us a warm feeling. It is a slick and well-run operation. We al felt so refreshed afterwards and we would be delighted to go there again and recommend it to other people
