Excellent Location

Posted 16-Mar-2015
The hotel is located in a restricted zone. Having read a previous review of how to reach the hotel (TravelPlanner2000), we followed these directions. We were unable to park in Piazza Caduti Per La Liberta, as all the spaces were full. So we parked a short distance away, in a parking lot on Via Alcide de Gasperi. You don't have to pay for parking there until you leave. It only cost us 40 cents for about 30 mins. From here, it's about a 5 min walk to the hotel. When you reach the hotel, it's not obvious that it is the correct entrance. It's a large, locked wooden door and you need to press the intercom on the left for the reception staff to let you in. Once in, you need to follow the signs for the hotel.....up 2 flights of stairs, both of which have a disabled lift, if required. The door to reception is up one further step located in the corner. We had a very welcoming arrival, with the offer of drinks. The reception took our car registration details and gave us a slip of paper that we had to display in the car. This permit (cost 6 euros per 24 hours, payable at check out) enabled us to drive in and out of the restricted zone as often as needed, until midnight on the day of departure. It also allowed us to park in the designated car parking square for guests of the hotel (Piazza Arcivescovado and Via Ginann), which was located just around the corner from the parking lot in which we had originally parked. We were advised that once we had the permit, we could drive around to the

Spacious, clean, great location

The staff was very helpful and cheerful. We stayed in one of the suites with a large bedroom, kitchen/ sitting area and large bathroom, although the shower was a bit small. Great location!

Staff was the best we have encountered. Very professional and friendly. Made us feel at home every time we met them. Would recommend to anyone that wanted the most TLC (tender loving care).

Love love love this apartment-hotel!

Posted 14-Jul-2014 on Hotels
Perfect location centro storico. Kind, helpful service from the front desk-- all stars, Anike, Alicia, Filippo to the sweet, efficient Sara at breakfast. To Carolina who cleaned my room. The owner was there, explaining his pride in the beautiful fruits and veggies at breakfast (how cool-- a juicer!) and the honies and preserves from nearby local farms. Apartment was fab- I stayed in Suite Rasponi with a kitchen, bathroom (shower only) and bedroom with two twins together making a king. Comfy bed. Balcony. Cold AC. Perfect stay.

Truly a FABULOUS stay.

I loved the extra room of an apartment. I've extended twice, for a full week rather than three days. I highly recommend Suite Rasponi if you can choose rooms. A small balcony overlooks the pedestrianized street. Air conditioning works perfectly in the living room and bedroom. The kitchen is fairly well equipped although it is not really for a true cook, as there are not things like a vegetable peeler, zester but there are three simple utensils, spatula, spoons. Pots, pans, plates and glasses are provided. Sara at breakfast, Anike and Filippo at reception, the lovely housekeeping woman (I left out iPhone, iPad, jewelry, all felt so safe) are wonderful. The building is secure. I loved the healthy choices offered at breakfast-- fruits, a juicer which I've never seen in any Italian hotel or apartment before. The owner is quite proud, rightfully so, of the organic and locally grown fruits vegetables and honey. Five-star all the way.

City break

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: Proximity to main sites and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Not really
Location: This is a visit for art lovers and those who find the history of the early Church fascinatng. There are also many good local restaurants.
This is an excellent apartment. With exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The famous sites of Ravenna are in easy walking distance and if needed, the accommodation is well served by local buses. We had a super stay and the included breakfast is a welcome addition. We would thoroughly recommend this place for a visit fo the city.
