“Will go back”

For the price we paid, we definitely got a great deal. The one and only small dislike that i had was that the light in the bathroom does not illuminate the bathtub/shower very well.

“Great hotel, in a convenient location”

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2011, and it exceeded our expectations. The room we had was very quiet (we had requested a quiet room), and the location was very convenient (assuming you have a vehicle). The continental breakfast was as expected, and the staff did a great job at maintaining the stock, and keeping the area clean and tidy. We experienced nothing negative, and would happily return. It was also very good value.

I came to Rapid City to celebrate my birthday & go sight seeing in the area. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff is unbelievably knowledgeable & friendly. The room comfortable and met my needs. And talk about convenience, you are close to downtown, the interstate, and it's easy to get to the tourist spots from there. Yes, it is across the street from a high school, but who cares most tourists like myself are either asleep when there or out TOURING! :) I can't compliment the staff enough for their hospitality. I could hear when guests doors closed but that again was not a issue for me as I was hardly in the hotel room.

“Very good hotel with lots of amenities”

Very satisfied with this hotel. All the amenities like fridge, microwave, hair dryer in the room, and Continental breakfast, pool, computer with a printer, and Happy hour included in the hotel price.

“Alright”

This hotel was alright for the price definitely not even close to a 5-star rating. The fan in the bathroom was not working and the room kind of a had a musty type smell as well as when the cool air fan was turned to the warm heat on a bit of a chilly night it stunk up the room terribly. Was in a bad need of cleaning. Despite the problems there was a nice continental breakfast and the hotel was nice and quiet with a pool and spa area. Also very friendly people working there because of the positives I would recommend.

“Best quality for the money”

We booked the Rapid City, SD Howard Johnson hotel through Expedia and found that it was the best place to stay in Rapid City. It was central to everywhere we wanted to go and close to the historic downtown of the City. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Very happy with my stay. The location is good, the kids liked the pool, the hot tub was hot.

I found Howard Johnsons to be very reasonably priced, convenient to all the places we visited, clean, and very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. I always appreciate having a fridge in the room. They had an excellent continental breakfast that got us off to a good start each day. The front desk staff members were very courteous and helpful ... and ultimately, it's really the hotel staff members that end up making the big difference in how we felt about our stay. The hotel staff was exceptional.
