“Connecting door = LOUD NEIGHBORS”

You can hear EVERY noise through the connecting door. The neighboring room became occupied around midnight. I was horrified that my 8 and 10 year old would wake up and hear what was occuring in the next door. It sounded like they were in the same room! I turned the heater to fan only - just to kill the descriptive language and sounds they were using. I didn't want to be explaining biology to my sons in the middle of the night. The kids did enjoy the pool - and if we could be guaranteed a room without the connecting door, we would probably stay again.

“Very Enjoyable”

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and service we received. We would definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and would return if we were in the area.

“will be going back agian”

i have stayed there before and liked it very much. it is very clean . the staff is very helpful and the lounge is very convienient. haven't been in the pool yet ,but it looks like the kids were enjoying themselves

“Enjoyed the stay”

We were only there for one night but enjoyed our stay. Wish I would have brought my swim suit so I could have jumped in the pool. Staff were friendly and having a restaurant next door was convenient since it was raining the night we arrived. Overall I would use this hotel again or recommend it to someone else visiting Rapid City.

“Perfect base for Mt. Rushmore”

This hotel is located on one of the main exits in Grand Rapids and is a good place to stay if visiting Mt. Rushmore or the surrounding area.

“Grand time at the Grand Gateway”

Very nice hotel especially for families. It has an indoor water slide and pool for kids. They had only one ice machine for the entire hotel but everything else was first class.

Area recommendations

Mt Rushmore and several more historical sites are just outside the city. Very confenient and very comfortable.
