“Excellent North Carolina Resort”

We have stayed at the Washington Duke many times now and have always been very satisfied. The location is very scenic with a great golf course and trail for walking. Service at the Washington Duke is exemplary. What is perhaps the most pleasant about staying at the Washington Duke is that you both feel pampered and at home at the same time. I would absolutely recommend the hotel.

“Great for Duke - right on campus”

I visited this hotel on a business trip to Durham NC. It's not in the twon center so there are no restaurants that you can walk to other than in the hotel itself. Ideal if you are visiting Duke University. Lovely leafy location with goot trails and walks close by. The hotel has just been remodeled.

“Dismal service”

Everything except the service was great. But at this price, that's not the area to slack on. We sought help to find seating in the bar and got none, then waited (and waited) for a drinks order to be taken. Breakfast maitre d' was sloppy and seemed to have her hands permanently glued into her pockets. Despite a specific request, the breakfast bill was not despatched promptly to front desk so total could be included at check out. On this trip we also stayed in 3 different Hiltons, all of which delivered more satisfactory service than the Washington Duke. Pity.

“Very Good, but one problem.”

Great service. Beautiful. Convenient. Still, this hotel has the worst beds for the price we have ever slept on. Obviously, this is in need of an upgrade. If they fix that, then it will be fabulous.
