“Not impressed”

I am a Starwood fan, but this hotel does not meet Starwood standards. I realize it's an older building, but the hotel is just dingy and dark. Needs some fresh paint and carpet. Also I had no washcloths in my room, and when they brought them, there were hairs on them. No hairdryer. They did bring a brand new one right out of the box which was good. Parking is a hassel since it's across the street but manageable. With the brand new Marriott next door, this hotel needs to step it up.

“Great location in the middle of the City”

We stayed here for just one night. I've been to this hotel many times through the past 10-12 years. They have done a good job of keeping it updated and making it very comfortable. Location is great, close to many bars and restaurants.

“bitten by bugs”

We stayed over a Friday night. When I got up Monday morning at my home, I was covered with bug bites. Today is Tuesday, and I have an exterminator with a dog coming to the house. There is no other place that we would had cotnact with this sort of thing. What I read about bed bug bites is that it can take a day or two to show up. I'm so upset!!

“Offended”

My husband and I checked into the hotel together. I had pre-paid for the hotel before arrival. You have to use your key just to get the elevator to go up! We were there for a concert and my husband went back to the hotel early due to not feeling well. The hotel claimed they did not recognize him (even though the gentleman who carried our bags up to our room was standing there watching this occur). He told them our room number, his name, and finally my name. They said he was not a "registered guest" and called the police!!! Perhaps the dumb front desk should have told me to add my other guests to the room if this was the other option. Our room was two double beds so obviously there was more then one person in the room. Not to mention he was standing next to me upon check in. There was no consolation just a VERY rude and obviously above himself security guard. After that occurs you think the security is tight there however later that evening there were several people with NITROUS OXIDE TANKS roaming the halls. I will never stay at a Sheraton again

“Great location!”

Nice hotel that is walking distance to the Convention Center and the downtown amphitheater. Would definitely stay there again.

good hotel in great location. convenient to downtown like and good resteruant selection. priced much better than the competition!

“Ok place to stay just don't expect much”

Stayed 2 nights for concert event. Stayed here Last year for same... Wasn't to thrilled then definitely Not thrilled this time. Room smelled of smoke even Thou non smoking room. Ordered room service Breakfast for following day ..... Stay away pretty gross! Dinner was just as bad & couldn't follow simple Directions wanting no sauce or broccoli in pasta As daughter has allergies .... Had to wait another 15-20 Minutes to correct where rest of food was cold & not Appetizing...definitely not worth the $. Dirty Food tray stayed in hall From 11am. -8am following morning. If didn't need for concert I would never stay there. Pool wasnt avail "maintenance needed" But on phone told avail. 104 heat/ room wasn't so Cool Either. Looks upscale but needs adjustments. Knocking for housekeeping starts 8am thou check out is 12pm Very loud & hear every knock. Wasnt a pleasant stay this time at all!

The hotel is great but parking was a hassle across the street in the deck.

Next time I stay in Raleigh I will go back to the Sheration!!
