“Good value”
Travelling with a 12 year old and a 9 year old we got the 2 bedroom suite (which is two single room suites joined together). Plenty of room, huge bed. A little bit old-fashioned now (e.g. not flat screen TV :) . Nice pool & spa, great breakfast deals when we were there. Free fares on the (public) bus into town which was always on time. Considering the cost was not much more than a basic motel suite it was really good value - though that was probably influenced by us being there in 'shoulder' season.
“Good”
Nice hotel
“Wonderful Place, Exceptional Views.”
Fantastic place to stay, great price, great service, excellent rooms.
“Not Impressed should be 3 Stars then 4.5 Stars”
On the Plus side - the hotel has a classique designed surrounded by amazing views which attracted me to stay there. On the Minus side - the hotel is very old, should be 3 Stars rather than 4.5 Stars, the room is very outdated, the bed is old and most of old considering it is Winter there, the room is extremely cold. Also the whole hotel would smell when someone cooking in the kitchen, very annoying when you woke up in the morning smelling a burning toast or bacon. What appears in the photo doesn't reflect the reality of the hotel? I wouldn't be back to this place again, there are plenty other good hotels near Queenstown.
“nice hotel”
Everything was fine, excellent option for a good price.
“Would go back tomorrow”
The Heritage was wonderful and is a breath taking location. Very easy to get around and public transport was great. Totally wonderful location, plenty to do even with young kids (5 & 7) and the people are very welcoming. Fabulous restaurants and most accommodated for the Kids especially The Ballarat Trading Co & Lone Star.
“Was good but make sure you pay for the lake view!!”
Was a really nice hotel. Good rooms, make sure you get lake view otherwise will be looking at the road and have to deal with traffic noise. Pool, spa, bus into town was great as hotel is not located really close to town.
“Not impressed!”
We arrived with high expectations of this 4.5 star hotel, only to be instantly disappointed! I would rate this hotel a 3 star at the very best - the rooms are extremely tired and in desperate need of a facelift. The hallway to our room smelt stale, not pleasant at all! We picked this hotel because of it's good write up on it's OWN website, but we wish we reviewed some previous guests comments prior to booking (there seems to be many out there who share the same opinion as us). There are other hotels in Queenstown which are much nicer for the same price or less which look much more like a 4.5 star hotel should i.e. Peppers Beacon, Rydges & Crown. I'd highly recommend looking at these places prior to considering The Heritage, it just isn't worth the money or the 4.5 star rating!
“Great price quiet hotel”
easy check in and check out, very clean rooms, excellent condition, basement car parking. hotel is approx 600m - 800m to centre of queenstown, cosy bar with fire, large clean bathrooms with fine selection of soap and shampoo best selection we have seen in a hotel. recommend Heritage to anyone who likes peace and quiet.
“Sneaky King size room”
The hotel its self was great. We had a one bedroom unit. The only thing that i didnt like about it was the fact they attached two single bed to make the King bed. It was quite uncomfortable as the beds moved apart. But apart from that very nice hotel.
