“Pretty good”
The hotel is up on a hill, about 10-15 min walk down to the water and the "center." The location is in a completely residential area, so very safe to walk at 2 or 3 am at night. Taxis are very expensive! From hotel to downtown was quoted 15-20 NZD! Just walk it. The room was pretty small, but the bed was comfortable. I was in the room only to sleep, so price and location were perfect for that.

Apart from the Reception being unattended upon arrival and difficult to get through on the telephone, the service was excellent. The 2 B/R unit was very modern, great views and location. Everything was clean and reasonably new. Reasonable walking distance to everything. Overall we loved the unit and location. Extremely satisfied.

“Family orientated”
these apartments are only 5 minutes walk to central Queenstown which was great as it wasn't in the hustle & bustle of town centre. The apartment was a beautiful, modern& fully self contained(more utensils would have been appreciated)with central heating & gas fire place. It had a fantastic view of lake Wakatipu from our balcony. It had it's own garage, this meant you could enter via the automatic garage & straight into our apartment. Did not have to share stairs or drying rooms with anyone else & we could leave skis on car racks overnight no problem. We hired a 4WD Prado& had to juggle the skis on the roof racks a bit to make sure we didn't hit the ceiling in the garage but all fine once we worked that out. If you are a family this place is perfect.Walking is easy but need a car if you are skiing as walking to the closest bus stop would be difficult with ski gear etc.Behind the apartments are walking tracks that will take you to Skyline Gondola & beyond, very handy. There is a manager on site everyday from about 9-3 but otherwise unless you are staying longer than 7 nights no daily room cleaning is done & that was fine for us

“What a View!!”
Booked a self-sustaining 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. Unit was very modern and well maintained, the staff were pleasant and helpful. An added bonus was the awesome view from the balcony. We chose this in lieu of a hotel because of the privacy, comfort and ability to cook. The unit is located in a residential section, about 1+ mile from town center and very easy to walk to within 20 minutes. Saying this, it is up a hill, so be prepared with good walking shoes. We walked everywhere and never hired a car, taking various trips to Glenarchy and Millford Sound, with bus trasportation. Since the unit is self-sustaining you are responsible for purchasing everything, including extra toilet paper, papertowles and kleenex. Shopping is less expensive at the grocery store to the left of the airport (by 50%) than in town at Fresh Choice. New Zealand uses 240W power which was awesome but you will probably need a converter. Water boiled within 1-2 minutes. Speaking of water, although it is treated, it's also better tasting and fresher than anything I am use to here in California. We stayed 9 days and it was the best time and the accomodations were excellent.
