“Excellent quaint little hotel in a great location.”

We stayed at the Hotel des Coutellier for 2 nights in early December. We couldn't have asked for a better location. It's in the heart of old Quebec and very close to an abundance of small shops and bistros. The room was clean and comfortable, but the highlight of the stay would have to be the complimentary continental breakfast that was hanging from our door every morning. Fresh croissants and an assortment of other pastries, jams, yogurt, fruit and juice. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions that we had. We would definitely go back.

“Best Stay Ever”

I have never stayed in a hotel that did their best to antisipate your every need. What a pleasure it was. I would recomment this boutique hotel to anyone who wanted to stay close to the the old city.

“Very nice boutique hotel in Old Quebec district.”

The hotel staff if very friendly with lots of great suggestions. The included breakfast is very heart-warming when you wake up, open the door and see the basket. The room is a bit small but very nicely decorated and clean. Only cons is that the maid did not refill our shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

“Disappointed”

Cute and charming on the outside, but room was dirty and the room window broke due to poor upkeep. Road noise is bad. Plus is it's closeness to old town

“We will be back”

Absolutely perfect! Loved everything about this place. Great location, wonderful hosts, very charming room, exceptionally clean and comfortable. We will be back!

You must go to rue du Petit Champlain, the market across the street, and the wonderful Ile d'Orleans for a morning drive.

“Awesome hotel in Old Quebec”

It is a old but very nice and clean hotel. The front desk is very helpful not only on hotel things, but also on what happening in the city now. Will definitely go back next time visit Quebec city.

“Excellent Hotel”

Excellent hotel - friendly and helpful staff. Continential breakfast presented in a hamper left outside your room - excellent idea - great if you want a lie in!

Area recommendations
Upper & Lower Old towns - lots of old, atmospheric buildings with a sense of history. The St Roch area is regenerating and would best be described as vibrant.

“Great location”

Hotel is across the street from a market and easy to get to by car, avoiding the Old Town streets. Continental breakfast is served at your door. The lower part of the city is easy walking and there are many restaurants nearby.
