“Excellent location”
The Clarendon is an old-fashioned hotel, not glitzy, but with excellent service. It is right in the heart of Old Quebec, and so ideal for wandering round, then returning for a rest before setting out again. We would certainly stay there again.
“Convenient & comfortable”
The staff in this older hotel were very friendly and helpful, however, due to a website problem (they claimed) it took them three weeks to reply to my email requesting my booking confirmation - it arrived while I was away! Hotel position is excellent for the old town, which is beautiful, and the public car park is oppsite the hotel and has direct underground access, which is handy. Room we had was large and comfortable although a little dark because it was on 1st floor & looked onto an internal courtyard. Sadly it had no fridge & safe but small security box available at reception.
“Extremely Unlikely to Stay There Again”
The hotel location was good, very central. However couldn't check in until 4 which was a problem for us. The room was small, the bar opened late and the lady behind the bar was very rude. As we had problems checking in we deceided not to risk eating at the hotel although they did have a deal regarding breakfast and dinner. Will not be returning to the Hotel Clarendon.
