We have just returned from an amazing 4 nights stay at Casati House.
I have used the word 'fabulous' in the title, as the décor and service both deserve a special superlative.
We both loved the ambience of the place and the welcome we received. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt really at home. We didn't miss the TV as their were better things to do. ;-)
Our room was comfortable and clean, the décor fantastic (the photos don't do it justice!) and the view across the Solent was incredible.
Ryde itself appears to be on the turning point. There are a few tired-looking shops and restaurants, but plenty of smarter establishments moving in to take over. The Coastal Railway leaves from Ryde Pier, only a short walk from Casati House, and you can connect to the Steam Railway. Quite a treat if you want a break from driving.
I am definitely going to be recommending Casati House to my friends.
If you are travelling to the Isle of Wight and looking for a very special experience, check out Casati House. If you're looking for nice Formica tables and gingham table cloths, go somewhere else.
I also strongly recommend using their restaurant; the food is simply amazing. Fancy a champagne breakfast? This is the place. Indulge yourself... you deserve it.
We stayed just one night (Friday). We found the staff pleasant and helpful - happy for us to leave bags with them before check in time, and after check out so we didn't have to drag them around with us all day. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning; we loved the Moroccan decor of the breakfast room. Service efficient and friendly. Very noisy in the bar at night time till 2am, but we took ear plugs with us (always take them) and had a great night's sleep. So not really a problem. Just remember to take ear plugs. Lovely, comfortable room (9).
Lovely, clean, modern room. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great. The only problem we had was the bed! There was a plastic mattress protector on a piece of memory foam that was on top of quite an old, worn out mattress. This made the first night sleep horrendous as the weather was hot and we were sticking to it! We took the protector off after this and slept well.
Me and my girlfriend stayed in this hotel during the bank holiday of August as we were taking part in the Isle of Wight Challenge and found the location and service great. Steve the hotel manager was very accommodating and friendly and we would definitely be returning next year!
