Staff in the reception desk could not smile or provide the best service to customers. They looked like that they dont want to receive guests and very arrogant, made me hesitant to ask them information about the city and the tour.. Their services also poor, but the hotel and the view are the best for this rate
We booked here for six nights looking for some rest and relaxation and we were not disappointed. Staff were very obliging and helpful and the hotel had a good vibe.
The pool area was nice for a relaxing time and was well utilised. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely return, given the opportunity.

Pho Hoi means "City of Hoi". It is in the perfect position just across one of the main bridges. Once you cross the bridge (about 100 metres) you are right in one of the main shopping areas and at the beginning of the markets. It was such a great location. Quiet, yet in the middle of it all. I booked an Executive bungalow which is about 20m from the rivers edge. At night it is so pretty. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool and its own vegetable garden. It is not flashy and no where near a 5 star resort but rather a quaint hotel experience. It was built in 1992 and the rooms could do with an upgrade but it was perfect for my husband and I. The beds were a little thin and hard, like sleeping on a futon but the whole experience overrode that.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and we often exchanged our money at reception as it was safe. We also bought water for 10,000 dong (50 cents) from a vendor directly out the front. We hired bikes for 20,000 dong for the day and rode them all the way to the Bungalow however we were advised to leave them at the front of the resort.
There was a wide variety to choose from at breakfast. You have to love the egg station and traditional beef noodle soup.
We enjoyed this hotel very much however we were after a very "down to earth - rustic adventure" and this suited us. It was very pretty, green and friendly.
This was a perfect compromise for my husband and I. Close enough to the old city to do my shopping, spa and be near all the nice restaurants etc. And enough chill out space for my husband to unwind, relax and enjoy himself. Beautiful setting, makes you forget you're only a 10min walking distance from the 'hustle and bustle' of the city. Breakfast amazing, staff very accommodating and friendly. Had a very enjoyable time!
