We've stayed at the hotel previously and it was perfectly acceptable at the time, albeit several years ago. On this occasion, things were very different.
We had a very short stay planned at the hotel, a 2am check-in, noon check-out and simply expected what we had paid for - a clean, comfortable room for a few hours sleep.
Clearly, the bed linens had not been changed and whilst it may not even be related, we both became ill within 36 hours of leaving the hotel. I've given the hotel several opportunities to respond and whilst they have commented that "we are sorry we did not meet your expectations", it's really the standards of the hotel cleanliness we need to focus on here, rather than "customer expectations" which yes, typically would be to have a clean bed I should think!
Breakfast was fine, young lady on receptionist later in the am was very polite and pleasant.
There is plenty of competitively priced accommodation in Katowice now so standards need to be brought up to scratch in short order.
