“Need service by pool”
Food, drink, rooms and service were all good,They need to have servers (drinks) around pool area - they were on the beach.
“I would recommend if they fix the power outages”
We stayed at this resort from Oct 29th – November 5th. And had 4 guests and 3 rooms, we requested building 5 but ended up in building 4 which was great too. I requested the top floor which we were on and it had nice high ceilings and a good view. My girlfriend and I are in our late 20’s and were with someone in there 50’s and 60’s Upon arriving you are treated to a nice cold drink and are quickly set off to your room, which was good as we arrived 3 hours earlier then check in time. We then arrived to our rooms and as we unpacked we had someone drop off to each room a bottle of rum and a plate of fruit 1 room was also given cigars My negative comment was that every night we were there from 3am to 6am the power went out, we went to the front desk and asked why this kept happening they said it was due to construction they were doing. I listened at night I didn’t hear any construction Aside from the power problem the staff was friendly and responsive and you always find those few that always go out of their way to say hello or make your day with a drink and a laugh. The grounds were well maintained and they are constantly mowing and raking and keeping it clean during the day. The beach was beautiful and the water was great, the pool was clean. It was really nice not having to deal with kids as its 18+ and it was a nice place to go relax, if you are looking for some party life this isn’t it. I really enjoyed my time and I will travel to Dominican Republic again
“Very nice hotel for our short stay”
This is probably one of the nicest all-inclusive hotels I've been at. There are some restaurants you need to reserve ahead, but there are some others that you can go to on the spot (no reservation required). The nightly entertainment is great (we were there for the Michael Jackson tribute, and the dancers were impressive, espcially MJ). The food was also very good, there is a trio providing entertainment while you dine. The grounds are quite large, so bring good walking shoes! We had trouble obtaining a "palapas" on the beach, since they are all taken early in the day. The beach is great, with a bar right on the beach. They give you a souvenir bottle of rum and a box of cigars upon your arrival. Just make sure you print out your reservation before you go. This is not like the US, where you just show up and flash your ID to get your hotel room. They need to have proof of your arrival and reservation before they can get their reimbursement from the travel agency. Other than that, no complaints. FYI: Building 5 is the closest to the beach.
“Just OK”
The staff was just incredible: friendly and attentive. The buffet was excellent, the other restaurants OK. More lighting in the room is needed - no lamps in the sitting area. Beds and pillows were not that comfortable. The pool was fabulous - the beach crowded and ocean rough. On the whole, this resort was very good for the price. We will probably return.
“The worst hotel that I have ever been.”
All the rooms have mold and terrible smell that gives you headache after just 5 minutes. Also it takes 5 hours to check in which after of 7 hours of travel is not pleasant.
“Average at best”
I selected this hotel because I was looking for an adults only resort within, but I may have been better off dealing w/a resort w/kids. Most of the people were friendly, but a bad apple or two can spoil the bunch. There is a trolley which takes residents from one sister resort to another if you want to gamble or try another restaurant, etc. My wife and I went to the casino the first night there. While on the trolley back to our resort well past midnight, my wife had to get off to let another passenger get out. The driver then just took off and when iasked him to stop, he just kept on going w/o answering me (it should be noted that I am fluent in Spanish). When I got back to th elobby at my resort I told the guy at the front desk that I got seperated from my wife and I need to find her and he said he can't do anything. Luckily a good employee at the other resort drove my wife to our resort within a matter of minutes no thanks to the staff at this place. The food was good, the night entertainment could be improved, and the constant activity companies and souvenir stands on sight soliciting you got pretty annoying; not to mention the beach is pretty small. I have no problem tipping either but at an all inclusive resort I should not be pressured to tip, which happened more than once here. I am grateful that my wife and I were able to get away for a full day on a tour one day, and spend the day with friends at the Hard Rock Resort another day (next time we'll stay there.
“Great place and value for family vacation”
Traveled with my wife and gotta say i was pretty impressed. Price wasn't too expensive probably due to off season but overall the hotel is on the higher end. No major complaints really. The cleaning staff could've been a bit better, they forgot to change towels and add supplies and such, but that's really minor. Got a great location with the 2nd/top floor, so the height of the room was really high. Not sure if we got upgraded, but the room was about the size of a 1 BR apt. Food was great and close. Like i said, great place.
“PUNTACANA EXCURSION”
my first trip to punta cana, and i must say highly impressed, i had read several reviews on the punta cana princess prior to booking this resort, and must say the reviews here are very accurate. Hotel Concierge was very pleasant took care of all our needs. the grounds and hotel were kept up. Everything is truly all inclusive from the restaraunts, to the bar, virtually all the alcohol was free. I had one bad experience which was not the fault of the resort. Being a new international traveler i was unaware that U.S. banks put blocks on credit and debit cards.. after exhausing my cash i was unable to retrieve money at any of the atm machines! luckily my fiancees mom covered my remaining expenses. I was also unable to reach my bank over the weekend as it was closed. Moral of the story, bring a good amount of cash with you to cover each day you stay! the locals will be ready to sell you on their goods, and let your bank know if you are an international traveler especially leaving the U.S. i can imagine Europe is probably the same amongst other Major Countries.
“Punta Cana Princess All Suites”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and well maintained, AC worked perfectly and the ceiling fan made it even better. The large pool was clean and well maintained. The food was very good and I have no complaints. The entertainment staff did a great job every day and the late night shows were very enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return soon. The beach was very nice, over 200 feet in depth and 500 feet wide. The thatched huts were great for lounging under and palm trees made it feel like a true tropical paradise.
“Very Relaxing”
My husband and I stayed here in for our honeymoon in the end of april/ early may. It was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our housekeeper was fantastic, always with a big smile on her face. A couple things we found were the nightly entertainment wasn't very good. And for people who are not really into partying or clubs, there wasn't much to do at night. We also were disappointed with the fact there wasn't really a snack bar in the afternoon, as all the restaurants were switching over to serve dinner. And bring lots of sunscreen. It cost us twenty three dollars to buy a small bottle when we ran out. But overall, quite good. We will go back someday!
